'Unnamed Memory' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo, Spring 2024 Premiere

The official website of the Unnamed Memory television anime unveiled additional cast, staff, key visual (pictured), and the first promotional video on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.

Kazuya Miura (Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu) is directing the anime at ENGI. Deko Akao (Hitomi Mieno) (Tensai Ouji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu) is handling the series composition, and Chika Noumi (Hataage! Kemono Michi) is designing the characters. Akito Matsuda (Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho) is composing the music.

Furumiya began writing the fantasy romance story on his personal website in 2008 before posting on the Shousetsuka ni Narou starting in September 2012. Kadokawa published the story in six volumes with its Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint, featuring illustrations by chibi from September 2019 to April 2021.

Naoki Etsuma began serializing a manga adaptation on the Monthly Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2020. Kadokawa shipped the fifth volume on August 10.

Yen Press licensed the light novel and manga in English and released the sixth and final volume of the light novel on October 18. The third manga volume was released on June 20, and the fourth volume is scheduled to be shipped on January 23.

Unlikely to adapt the whole story in 12-13 episodes.

There are 6 volumes but one volume is really long.
It took me a week to read of a volume of Unnamed Memory. :(

The length of one volume of Unnamed Memory is about 1.5 times the length of a volume of Reign Of Seven Spellblades or 2 times the length of a volume of s Roshidere.

I think they will be cutting a ton of content if they want to adapt just the first arc (Vol 1 to Vol 3). :(

In the meantime, I am waiting for the light novel sequel. :)

I recommend this title to romance, witchcraft and time-travel fans. Well, Steins;Gate or Muv-Luv fans to be exact~

EDIT: Maybe not Muv-Luv fans, the tone of both stories are different. >_>

@Xueyi, I hope for a complete light novel adaptation! There are 60 chapters in it, they can make it into 12-13 episodes.

60 chapters in light novel. Let's hope that they completely adapt all it in 12-13 episodes!

I know that there is a sequel light novel also named Unnamed Memory: After the End, which began publishing last year.

@mshfqtny No, they are quite popular and good shows for their target audience. And if you judge by 1-2 unsuccessful shows, then you can call any studio bad, especially with such a small number of works.
