Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai is the second volume of the first part of Abe's Yatagarasu novel series, published by Bungeishunjuu in July 2013. The first part of the novel series was released from June 2012 to May 2018.

Bungeishunjuu published the first volume of the second part in September 2020, with the third and latest volume released in October 2022. The novel series has a cumulative 2 million copies of its volumes in print.

Natsumi Matsuzaki began serializing a manga adaptation of Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai in Evening magazine in August 2020. Kodansha shipped the fourth volume on February 21.

Synopsis
The story is set in an alternate world called Yamauchi, ruled by the Yatagarasu clan, who are able to transform between human and crow forms. Yukiya, a beautiful and eccentric Yatagarasu boy, is chosen to serve the young prince. Okay, this seems interesting! It's not often we get to see a show that involves crows, let alone combining crows and humans. I hope we get to see some kind of promotional video soon.
