'Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata' Reveals Additional Cast, Staff

The official website of the Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata (The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic) television anime revealed the additional cast members, staff and a key visual (pictured) on Tuesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.

An advance screening event for the first two episodes will be held at the United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba on December 9.

Takahide Ogata (Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori) helms the anime at Studio add and Shin-Ei Animation. Shougo Yasukawa (Shokei Shoujo no Virgin Road) is handling the series composition and Kenji Tanabe (Blue Lock) is designing the characters.

Kurokata started penning the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in March 2014. Kadokawa began publishing the series featuring illustrations by KeG in March 2016 and released the 12th volume in March 2020.

Reki Kugayama began serializing a manga adaptation on Comp Ace in April 2017. Kadokawa shipped the 12th volume on March 25 and will release the 13th volume on October 26.

One Peace Book licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in 2022. The light novel's third volume was released on August 22 while the third volume of the manga shipped on June 27.

@Yubisoft Well, if gacha games are any example, people like extremes. Either outwardly mature female characters, or vice versa, 13-14 year old girls who give vibes of your daughter or niece.

@RobertBobert The only reason I can think of is probably because women that are mature(because of either their age or type of character) are not that interesting for people or interesting enough to attract a big costumer base and that is very disappointing . Or maybe because the tastes of the anime/manga fanbase are becoming less and less refined aka the tastes are becoming more and more crap each year .

@Yubisoft Considering the conventional average age of anime characters, a 25-30 year old woman is already a milf. But all jokes aside, I wonder why there are so few shows with important oneesan characters.

@RobertBobert The mature woman you see in the picture is 25 (unless you are not talking about her age) . But she is very mature even though she is so young , more mature than most characters in the story. Also there is nothing wrong with oneesan fanservice as long it is done correctly ....

The studio has done a wonderful job with the character designs and colors . I'm also very satisfied with the casting ... organized work . Can't wait!! One of my most anticipated of 2024

This show got me thinking. Why do so few anime use mature female characters outside of some oneesan fanservice?
