'Oujo to Banken-kun' Reveals Additional Staff, First Promo

The official website of the Ojou to Banken-kun (A Girl & Her Guard Dog) television anime revealed additional staff memebrs and a promotional video on Monday. The anime is scheduled to air on September 29 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by Yomiuri TV, and BS Asahi.

Singer-songwriter Masayoshi Ooishi (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) is performing the opening theme "Suki ni Naccha Dame na Hito." Akari Kitou, who voices Isaku Senagaki in the anime, performs the ending theme "Magie×Magie". The opening is previewed in the promotional video below.

Yoshihiro Takemoto (Beelzebub) is directing the television anime at Project No.9. Aya Satsuki (Mou Ippon!) is handling the series composition. Yukiko Ban (DRAMAtical Murder) is designing the characters.

Ojou to Banken-kun adapts Hatsuharu's school romance manga, which began serialization in the Bessatsu Friend magazine in December 2018. Kodansha released the eighth volume in October 2022 and will ship the ninth volume on September 13.

Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in November 2020 and released the eighth volume digitally on March 21.

@Swagernator Well, I remember a lot of people on twitter un-ironically hating the Fruits Basket because of the age gap, although most of the time it was within reason.

@RobertBobert Its a story about borderline rape-y dude, falling for an underage girl, told from a perspective of a girl.

Twitter and Japanese women (who are the audience) will love this a lot, unironically.
