'Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e' 2nd Season Reveals Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo

The official website of the Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e (Classroom of the Elite) anime series revealed on Monday a pair of additional cast, new key visual (pictured), and a promotional video for the second season. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 4 at 9:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and BS NTV.

Souma Saitou (Yuukoku no Moriarty) and Rie Takahashi (Kanojo mo Kanojo) are joining the cast as Miyabi Nagumo and Hiyori Shiina, respectively.

Singer-songwriter ZAQ is returning to perform the second season's opening theme "Dance In The Game," which is previewed in the promotional video below. Voice actress Mai Fuchigami (Girls & Panzer) is performing the ending theme "Hito Jibai."

Yoshihito Nishouji (Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun assistant director) helms the second season at Lerche with chief directors Seiji Kishi (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) and Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Slow Start). Hayato Kazano is handling the series composition and Kazuaki Morita (Tsuki ga Kirei) is designing the characters. Masaru Yokoyama (Horimiya) and Kana Hashiguchi (Black Fox) are composing the music.

The series adapts Shougo Kinugasa's school psychological light novel, which is released under the MF Bunko J imprint, and features illustrations by Shunsaku Tomose (Ange Vierge). The first light novel series was released in 14 volumes between May 2015 and September 2019. Kinugasa launched a sequel light novel the following January. Kadokawa published the seventh volume on June 24.

If this and S3 is just 1 cour, we'll get an Index III momento. Coincidentally, they're one of the best selling LN's out there. Nice one Production Committee.

Yeah third season's coming sometime next year, and they intend to adapt the entire first year arc. So of course making any hefty change from this point on in addition to what they already did in first season won't be a wise thing.

Well, at least I hope it's not something poor animated.

They already announced a third season in the fall, so I think they have high hopes for that.

The KV pretty much confirms this will cover upto volume 7, atleast. Pacing again will be an issue.
