'Ousama Rankings' TV Anime Premieres in October 2021
The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Presentation 2020 event announced on Thursday that the anime series adapting Sousuke Tooka's Ousama Ranking (King Ranking) web manga will air on the station's noitaminA programming block in Fall 2021. Aniplex simultaneously opened an official website, revealing a teaser visual (pictured).
The television anime is being produced by Wit Studio, known for producing titles such as Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (After the Rain), Great Pretender, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), and Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress).
Tooka launched the adventure web manga on the Manga Hack website in 2017. Kadokawa began publishing the manga through its Beam Comics imprint last February. The eighth volume shipped on August 12. Ousama Ranking has a cumulative 1 million copies of its compiled volumes in print.
Synopsis
The web manga centers around Bojji, a deaf, powerless prince who cannot even wield a children's sword. As the firstborn son, he strives hard and dreams of becoming the world's greatest king. However, people mutter about him behind his back as "a good-for-nothing prince" and "no way he can be king."
Bojji is able to make his first ever friend, "Kage" (shadow)—a literal shadow on the ground who somehow understands Bojji well. (Kage is a survivor of the Kage assassin clan that was all but wiped out. No longer a killer, Kage now makes ends meet by stealing.) The story follows Bojji's coming-of-age as he meets various people in his life, starting with his fateful encounter with Kage.

Sounds interesting. I'll try. Studio wit is know as the AOT studio so it's good that they are doing something they wanted to do for a long time.
