Third 'Toaru Kagaku no Railgun' Season Announces Additional Cast

The official website of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T, the third Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime season, announced three additional cast members on Thursday. The new season will premiere on January 10, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. on AT-X, followed by Tokyo MX, MBS, and BS11. AbemaTV will begin stream the show the following day at 1:05 a.m.

Gunha Sogiita: Kengo Kawanishi (Gunjou no Magmell)
Mitori Kouzaku: Miyu Tomita (Gabriel DropOut)
Seria Kumokawa: Yukiyo Fujii (Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut)

The opening theme, "final phase," will be performed by indie pop duo fripSide. J-rock band Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets will perform the ending theme "nameless story."

Production staff returning for the third season at J.C.Staff include director Tatsuyuki Nagai, character designer Yuuichi Tanaka, and music composer Maiko Iuchi, among others.

Shougo Yasukawa (Shokugeki no Souma, Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin) is handling the series composition, replacing Seishi Minakami from the previous two seasons. Kentarou Izumi (Amanchu! Advance background art) will take over Tomonori Kuroda as the art director.

Toaru Kagaku no Railgun adapts Kazuma Kamachi and Motoi Fuyukawa's spin-off manga of the same title, which began its serialization in Dengeki Daioh since February 2007. Kadokawa published the 15th compiled volume on October 10.

The first two 24-episode anime seasons premiered in Fall 2009 and Spring 2013, covering the first six volumes and the earlier chapters of the seventh volume. The third season is listed for 25 episodes across eight Blu-ray and DVD volumes.

An unexpected choice.
Anyway, if the daihasei arc is done well, it will be as good as the Sisters arc from Railgun S.

For a while, I thought the chances of a two-cour third season was a bit on the low side. Thank goodness I was wrong about that.

I hope that the production staff can do a good job in adapting the upcoming arc and what comes after it as well.

Boy, am I pumped for this! Sadly, I’m not well-versed with these VAs but here’s to hoping they nail their respective roles.

25 episodes is really pleasing to see as well! Always down for more Biribiri and co.
