Promo for 'Hatena☆Illusion' TV Anime Confirms Staff and Cast
The official Twitter account for Hatena☆Illusion shared a promotional video on Wednesday, which confirmed the main staff, cast, and theme song performers for the anime adaptation based on late author Tomohiro Matsu's light novel. The information was initially revealed in this year's 35th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump, however the official website was not updated. The anime will premiere in Winter 2020.

Chinese cosplayer Liyuu will perform the opening theme "Magic Words," while Aina Suzuki will perform the ending theme "Hikariiro no Uta." Liyuu and Suzuki are making their major and solo debut as musical artists under the Lantis label, respectively.
Matsu began publishing the romantic comedy novel through Shueisha's Dash X Bunko imprint in November 2014, featuring character designs by manga artist Kentarou Yabuki (To LOVE-Ru, Mayoi Neko Overrun!). The novel remained incomplete due to Matsu's death in 2016, until StoryWorks—a writing company he helped found—took over and resumed the work this year under the title Hatena☆Illusion R. Shueisha will publish a new volume on August 23, nearly four years since the last volume Matsu wrote in November 2015.
Pochi Edoya (Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku) began serializing a manga adaptation in Nico Nico Seiga's Suiyoubi wa Mattari Dash X Comic portal in November 2018. The first compiled volume was released on September 19.
