I wouldn't expect a rerank if I were you. Yes, volume 17 reranked when vol 18 came out so it's obviously possible, but that's the only time it's happened.
And Kawahara usually releases one volume every 2 months, and with Accel World 22 scheduled for November it's very unlikely that we'll get a SAO Progressive volume this year.
well, Reki tweeted I think, that "he hopes to finish next progressive volume till the end of the year", but its not guaranteed, for sure...

Regarding these, sales upon leaving the weekly rankings of the latest volume in the series:
SAO - 268675
Mahouka - 158693
Re:Zero - 75392
OreGairu - 163472

SAO is clearly a far bigger seller than OreGairu is. From that it looks as though OreGairu is slightly above Mahouka, but it's a >2 year gap since the last volume, and long gaps tend to mean big sales drops. Back when the last OreGairu volume came out, Mahouka was selling 200k per volume anyway. It would take quite a big drop for it to fall below Re:Zero, though.

Mahouka vol 16 is around 25640, that is a peak of mahouka. After that it keep dropping to 160-180K. It look like this latest volume quite good plus with movie boosting. For sure next volume will reach 200K

Oregairu outsells both of these series (or at least Re:Zero), but it's releases are much less frequent, so it won't rank well here.

Well Vol12 out on 21 sept, i thought it will be included in the ranking.

Every week we look at the sales of the past week.
If you look at the top it says September 11-17 so SNAFU Vol 12 can't be possibly included yet

As I understand that particular that ranking is about overall series sales and favors consistent near releases. Re:Zero gets a new release every 3 months, SAO gets a book at least once every year I think. Oregairu outsells both of these series (or at least Re:Zero), but it's releases are much less frequent, so it won't rank well here.

im saying volume release sales, not overall series sales.

I assume the MF Bunko J festival which heavily featured Re:Zero content including the announcement of the OVA did the deed

Possible. I'm always suspicious such events have much direct impact, though - they tend to be more about enthusing existing fans than getting in new ones or getting people back into the series who had put it aside. Then again we're only talking a few thousand copies, so...

Oregairu vol 12 not in the ranking? heh.. Next week you can see who is the boss. Even mahouka, sao and rezero can't defeat oregairu sales.

YouJitsu's series sales dropped from 22.4k last week to 16.9k this week. If that reduction had applied evenly on the sales last week that would put the top seller at 2968, 206 less than it would have needed to rank.

As for why Re:Zero's sales have been going up for the past few weeks, I honestly don't know. Then again it was purely backlog sales getting it on the rankings anyway, so these things can happen.

I see. Thanks for the insights then. :)

In the case of Re:Zero I guess I can this as the series having really good staying power.

Well the 14 volume is coming out in just a couples of days so that probably helping too.

Sep 21, 2017 12:30 PM by Iron_Maw

SAO had steady sales for a while now (~300k). I think this volume will also drop from rankings at 250k eventually, and will rerank when the next volume is released.

Now, I hope Progressive volume 5 will come out till the end of the year.

Huh, I wonder what's causing Re:Zero to raise here considering none of the volumes charted? Same with Classroom of the Elite. Maybe everything else outside the mega franchises like SAO is too low?

Hmm... It's nice to see some of my typical type of Light Novels selling pretty well.. Especially Duke's Daughter..
It would be nicer if only I can fully read Japanese tho... TvT

SAO sell 143k after 2 weeks? I though it should be around 200k lol

Does anyone know the plot of "29 to JK"? Or at least a synopsis. Looks like a romance of sensei and schoolgirl.
Seems to be just that, since JK is a term for a high school student. So I assume the plot is focused on a 'romance' between a 29 year old and a high schooler.

It looks like the 29 year old guy and the high school girl became a couple in Vol 1 or 2.

Hmm, it would be interesting to see this, I thought that such stories disappeared from the anime for reasons of censorship.

I'm scared to imagine what its rating will be. For it is more offensive to women than Violence Jack.
