It has been confirmed that the motorcycle manga Bakuon!! will receive an anime adaptation. The announcement comes from a wraparound jacket on the sixth volume of the series, written by Mimana Orimoto.

The manga series was launched in 2011 in the third issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion Retsu magazine. There are currently six volumes in print.

Synopsis
The story revolves around high school girls who discover the appeal of motorcycles. Hane Sakura is a high school student who looks a little bit like an airhead. On the way to her all-female high school one day, she is worn-out climbing a hilly road with a bicycle, but she sees a girl named Onsa Amano who is riding a motorcycle. Hane immediately becomes interested in motorcycles, and she and Onsa join the motorcycle club at the school. Then, Sakura sets out to get her license. (Source: ANN)

High school girls breaking traffic laws is fun.

This was not what I meant when I said I wanted a motorcycle anime. (눈_눈)
I don't really consider this true seinen (should be more sophisticated and mature like Monster or Rainbow, not moe girls -sigh-).

No GAR with motorcycles, why. щ(ಥДಥщ)

... I guess more female "sports" series will eventually give us some good things in the long run, so fingers crossed for that. I don't expect anything much from this though, honestly...

Seinen is a demographic, not a genre.

They shouldve just made them guys, and it would have been more interesting!

I 100000000000% AGREE WITH U.At least with boys you'll get the real thing without the moe

I do curious though. Is this anime going to focus on intricacies and technicalities of motorbike in the forms of motorbike racing/modifications works/street bosozoku-like gang or just another run of the mill moe slice of life set in highschool? If it's the former, good i'm in. But if it's the latter, i'm out. Don't wanna see such rare concept be wasted on something so asinine and mundane.

For real, thats why i cant take all girls sports shows seriously if its just going to be cute girls doing cute things anime im not watching

Seriously .. how many times do people have to repeat it. Seinen is not a genre it is a DEMOGRAPHIC!!!! If it aimed at older males (like almost all CGDCT) and published in such a mag then it is 100% Seinen.

Quite a few SoL are riding the Yama no Susume craze, this one is pretty interesting to boot so I'll watch it. It's probably a 3-12 minute short like Yama no Susume.
I agree, it is really interesting though, to see all these obscure hobbies/clubs (or at least not music/idol based) getting anime. I personally am really open to watching CGDCT anime so long as it has some unique hobby/club as the focus and the characters actually do said hobby, not like K-ON where they hardly ever practice but are supposed to be a music club -_-.

Seems like Japan has discovered bikes are a thing, I wonder what triggered this sudden interest.
I do like these type of series though, wish they actually had exploration and stuff but oh well.

This series is more than a decade old. Just saying.
Sure but it's getting an anime only now, heck, if anything the fact that it's getting an anime only 10 years later speaks for itself.
