Manga 'Bakuon!!' Gets Anime Adaptation

It has been confirmed that the motorcycle manga Bakuon!! will receive an anime adaptation. The announcement comes from a wraparound jacket on the sixth volume of the series, written by Mimana Orimoto.

The manga series was launched in 2011 in the third issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion Retsu magazine. There are currently six volumes in print.

Synopsis
The story revolves around high school girls who discover the appeal of motorcycles. Hane Sakura is a high school student who looks a little bit like an airhead. On the way to her all-female high school one day, she is worn-out climbing a hilly road with a bicycle, but she sees a girl named Onsa Amano who is riding a motorcycle. Hane immediately becomes interested in motorcycles, and she and Onsa join the motorcycle club at the school. Then, Sakura sets out to get her license. (Source: ANN)

I don't really consider this true seinen (should be more sophisticated and mature like Monster or Rainbow, not moe girls -sigh-).

... I guess more female "sports" series will eventually give us some good things in the long run, so fingers crossed for that. I don't expect anything much from this though, honestly...

Seinen is a demographic, not a genre.

Seriously .. how many times do people have to repeat it. Seinen is not a genre it is a DEMOGRAPHIC!!!! If it aimed at older males (like almost all CGDCT) and published in such a mag then it is 100% Seinen.

I agree, it is really interesting though, to see all these obscure hobbies/clubs (or at least not music/idol based) getting anime. I personally am really open to watching CGDCT anime so long as it has some unique hobby/club as the focus and the characters actually do said hobby, not like K-ON where they hardly ever practice but are supposed to be a music club -_-.
