Anime 'Love Live!' to Get Second Season Due Spring 2014

It was announced in the "Love Live! 3rd Anniversary Concert", held in Yokohama today, that the TV anime series "Love Live! School Idol Project" will get a second season. It is scheduled for TV broadcast in the spring 2014 season. The same announcement was later also made in Love Live! official Twitter.

LoveLive! has always been a franchise! The anime almost came last! I guess the games are coming last but really it is music discs, concerts, anime, novels, manga, fanbooks, picture books, games, apps, dakimakura, everything!

Nice to see Vita getting some good titles and the TV box too! Lots of anime tie ins.

Yeah, this seems like a separate thing from the anime, unlike in Idolm@ster case where they bundled the two in the BDs. The game is out at the same time the anime airs so it would be an attempt to capture the adoring watchers then and there, without the need to wait for a couple months later when the BDs are out. Doing this will also saves on advertising for the game. Clever businessmen, these people :D

Moreover, goodies for the game would very likely be included in the BDs releases. I think we should upgrade Love Live from a series to a franchise because that's what it is becoming. It's fitting when you think about Sunrise's other franchise: Gundam

The visuals are pretty good, there needs to be a PS Vita TV bundle for this game, they'd sell that Ouya-esque thing in seconds.

That's going to look stellar in HD on the Vita TV, still not sure if I'm getting the game but I will pick up the new Vita though.

Good lord why would people use this assholes blog as a source for anything. The two are far from the same. Why? Love Live fandisc has anime but GirlPan fandisc does not. The latter only has seiyuu event, so I do not think it will be categorized as anime BD/DVD. The case for the Love Live *has* anime, even though it is just digest of the 1st season.

Won't call it disc 8 and it is officially a fan disc separated from the volume count of the TV series.

Also I wonder whether it will be listed in the anime category by Oricon as it has an anime disc too (though just a digest of first season) and a bunch of other stuff like seiyuu footage, commentaries and booklet.

I found it funny that their own link has an anchor tag #bd08 so their webmaster at least is calling it BD8 LOL

Anyways, if it has concert footage and a new single then they can bring out 10 fandiscs and I will buy them all!

Just got Printemps' Pure girls project today! Should have got it last week but it shipped late for some reason (I got other stuff last week but amazon split my order). Good stuff! Again I love the drama track "Onstage at the pool".

I still think Cutie Panther is my favorite out of the trio singles.
