Second Season of Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Confirmed [Updated on Dec 6]

According to the window announcement of a bookstore, the second season of "Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica" was announced. It will be aired from the spring 2009. The official website is counting down for a surprising news, probably the official announcement of the new season. The number of Bourai is increasing as the countdown advances.

The countdown finished and the official website was finally open. The title of the second season is "Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica crimson S".

According to NewType magazine, the production staff are as follows:

Director: Suzuki Toshimasa ("Heroic Age")
Series organizer: Kanemaki Kenichi ("Pani Poni Dash!")
Script writer: Kawasaki Hiroyuki ("Tsubasa Chronicle")
Character designer: Obara Mitsuru ("Peach Girl")
Production company: Diomedia (former name: Studio Barcelona)

Wasn't the quality is blamed to losing a director in the middle of production.

Hmm... will the second season cover the red series only ? Want to see more Matia also :D

Which group subbed it? I never saw any releases past ep 9 (and Yesy's releases weren't exactly stellar, the show suffered from shitty raws from what I observed).

Never heard of any of this before, but its always great to get a 2nd season, maybe ill watch this :D

I'd rather see Special A season 2...if their is one :P

According to Sakaki-sensei's blog, he finished writing the final volume of "Iconoclast!", the final episode of "Fake Fake", and the chapter S1 of "Polyphonica" this month. Considering he had been hospitalized due to the renal calculus, he did an excellent job. And also we have Macademi WAsshoi! this season.
