Toei Animation and Banpresto To Produce an Original Anime

Toei Animation and game developer Banpresto announced an original anime "Kyousou Giga". The director is Matsumoto Rie ( Heartcatch Precure! Hana no To de Fashion Show... Desu ka!? ). Details of the anime will be announced at Banpresto Fair to be held on March 20th.

Kyousogiga will have premium screenings on December 1 and 4, then distributed online on December 10.

This looks fucking amazing. Even if the story sucks, I'd watch it solely for the art. But it having dealings with the supernatural just about solidifies that I'm definitely watching this.

I will always support the few original anime that are produced. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of anime adoptions out there that I love, but just like in Hollywood, an original story is getting harder find nowadays.

So in other words... can't wait!!

But I'm seriously expecting something with mechas, because of banpresto itself and the "giga" in the title.

Magical Girls + Mecha sounds like a good combination to me. Could be interesting, plus Toei is generally a good sign.
