K-ON! Movie Due in December

According to the twitter of Pony Canyon PR staff, the premiere date of K-ON! Movie was announced to be December 3rd 2011. The announcement was made at K-ON! live event "Come with Me!" held on February 20th at Saitama Super Arena.

According to the tweet by anime log designer Kanaya Akemi, the director Yamada Naoko said the movie will be a brandnew episode , not a recap. The story takes place before the graduation of Yui.

Sorry if this has already been said elsewhere, but IIRC, doesn't the movie get a stateside release on December 20th? Or is that just for a DVD release in Japan? Or am I completely wrong?
Either way, I can't wait to see this movie.

its pretty much confirmed there is gonna be a 3rd season due to Kakifly starting up the manga again...well 2 at the same time one about Azu-nyan and friends while the other one is about the girls in college...in short: i am happy :)

Yes we can. But, I'm sure someone will sub a cam rip. Even though cam rips are of poor quality.

I honestly think there is a strong possibility of a K-ON! spin-off season and a 3rd final season.

1) They started(?) doing a spin-off manga for Azusa, Ui , Jun and another girl and there Final year at the high school

2) They also started(?) the College manga for the regular K-ON girls.

I think a lot of you might've already known that info for the manga though :3
