Story: 6 Let's start with that this mange is no way for everyone, the story is nonsensical and uses the Shogi the same way Yugioh uses card games. Also its sorta all over the place, just know that when you read this your in it for the ride.
Art: 9 The art is definitely jarring at first but if you can get into it then by the end of the manga you will love the author's insane artstyle. I would say give the manga a few chapters and after maybe 50-100 chapters your still not into the artstyle you probably won't like it, but for those

who get into it, the facial expressions get to Kaiji levels of crazy face distortions and sweat.
Character: 8 I really like the strange characters in this manga, the mc is a bottom of the barrel perv and his main driving force is fighting for a busty girl who wears a maid costume, so yeah and the rest of the supporting cast is just as crazy to a dude who goes beastmode when he plays shogi and kung-fu master, also very good at shogi.
Enjoyment 8 This manga is definitely not for everybody, as you can see by the rating but know that you don't need to know anything about shogi except that it's like chess and the characters get REALLY into it. Again if you get into the insane flow that this author and artist are pushing for then it becomes a surprisingly enjoyable ride. Also, it does have a nice ending if I remember correctly.
Overall 8: I like it, if you are looking for something long to read, this is completely translated, long fun series to get into as long as you give it a chance.
