The list of manga that are considered the most recognizable in Shonen genre, including the Big 3 of Shonen Jump. Can be used as a reference sheet for newcomers to the manga industry.

This is only the series with over 100 chapters, there are many more titles available with less than 100 chapters which are also great series worth reading, this is only for those who might want some longer series.

It only says website in the title, but there’s also an app, however not every series is available on the app.

No sequel series were added to the list (Tokyo ghoul, Jojo’s), because they’re in the sequel series interest stack (and there’s no room anyway).

You can read all of the series with every chapter for $2.

The only series without every chapter available for free are:
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Chapters are added as the volumes are released) NOT LIKELY TO GET ANY MORE VOLUMES.

Noteworthy shounen that released during the Era of the "Big 3"

Worldbuilding - "the process of constructing a world, originally an imaginary one, sometimes associated with a fictional universe." These kinds of manga are usually set in a fantasy and/or sci-fi world, and excel at establishing & showcasing the rules/history/economy of their fictional universe. List was created through collective data from multiple websites of people's answers as to what manga are considered to have great world building.

Number of sales and date that number was acquired from in notes for each. Some of them I have personally estimated a higher figure than the date says.

No. 110 would be Gaki Deka by Tatsuhiko Yamagami with 30 million (Nov. 16th, 2017)

No. 112 says Jingi, but it seems to be Tachihara Ayumi's other work Maji! due to the dates and amount of volumes.

No. 170 is Sho Ban by Yuji Moritaka and Yukitaro Matsushima, which started in 2001 with 44 volumes & 340 chapters in Weekly Shonen Champion.

No. 190 is Tsukiji Uogashi Sandaime by Ken'ichi Oishi, Masaharu Nabeshima, Kazuto Kuwa, & Mitsuo Hashimoto, which started in 2000 with 42 volumes & 324 chapters in Big Comic Shogakukan.

Focused on food-related titles in fantasy settings.

Manga that are heavily influenced by Dragon Ball / classic Shounen Jump battle manga. Kind of super specific, but hopefully looking at the list you'll see what I mean.

A list of manly oriented manga. Caters to those who like muscular characters, idealistic men, detailed art, manly tears, etc.

"Best" is subjective, but I think we can all agree that, in a manga, there is always that one arc that blows the rest of the story in the water: a turning point where the status quo is challenged and the plot reaches higher stakes. Basically, the peak of a series.

Presenting my list of the "best" arcs in several Weekly Shonen Jump manga, in no particular order. This list also includes some manga that have transferred to a different magazine (e.g. Chainsaw Man, World Trigger, D.Gray-man, etc.), since their arcs were published when they were still in WSJ.

EDIT: Added arcs for "Sakamoto Days", "Witch Watch", "The Elusive Samurai" and "Mashle".

Manga that make you go, "What the fuck am I even reading anymore." Usually manga that go batshit insane approaching the end of the story. Kongo Bancho here because of the shark, so fucking peak. Also any Go Nagai manga ever.
