Preliminary (71/204 chp)
Ok, just a bit of warning, I will put up some spoilers in here. But I'll start off with a spoiler free review then move on to a spoiler review. I'll put up "SPOILERS" right before I start the 2nd review to warn you guys. Also, another warning, I like to babble a lot so this may be a pretty lengthy review.

Ok, here we go. In case you don't know, this manga is a sequel to one of Seo's first works and quite possibly the very manga that made Seo as famous as he is today: Suzuka. The fact that we got a sequel to ...

[WARNING: SPIOILERS AHEAD!]

------------------------------------

So this will be my first review, so if I make mistakes I'm terribly sorry.
Fuuka starts off as a really good sequel to Suzuka as we are introduced to her right away and from the very beginning you can see the personality of not olnly Suzaka but also Yamato, and the story continues with a very nice flowing ring to it with the male lead Yuu. However the this manga then attempted to go down a path that nobody saw coming and it kinda all fell to pieces with (SPOILER INCOMING) the death of Fuuka after only 36 chapters. Here's why it ...

First of all I need to say, or rather, I have to say… This author has absurd courage!
No Spoilers! Stay calm

Many people read Fuuka until chapter 35 (maybe 50), and due to a certain event, these people, in addition to dropping the manga and giving it a bad grade, they curse the author, without even apparently not giving the work a chance, something that it saddens me a lot...

If you, dear reader, want to start this manga, I tell you: Have patience and especially an open mind! The manga after an event looks like it's going to go wrong and ...

----------------------------------------WARNING------------------------------------
---------------------------This is more of a Rant than a Review-------------------

Three times I have read Seo Kouji's work, and three times I have been disappointed. I originally read Kimi no Iru Machi upon a recommendation by a friend. I was cringing halfway through at the sheer stupidity of the story and how unrealistic the main characters were. So I dropped it. I later stumbled across Fuuka, not even realizing it was written by the same author until I had long dropped it. I will be discussing Fuuka in a moment. Finally, I decided I should give Fuuka another chance. So to prep myself, I read Suzuka for ...

Seo Kouji did pretty good at his previous series Suzuka. Fuuka can be considered the consequence. After reading Fuuka, this is my review:

Story: 2/10.
Honestly, compare to Suzuka, this one boring. The plot seems off and doesnt lead the reader to anywhere. Somehow, i feel like Seo Kouji make this manga in half-ass way. Plus, the death of Fuuka seems too bland.

Art: 7/10
Talking about his art, i support there is nothing much to say.

Character:5/10
The only thing that keeps me interest is the old Fuuka not the new one. The dead Fuuka have interesting personality and that what keep me until she dead. The new one ...

I can't believe that I read Fuuka first instead the prequel Suzuka. So, I've come a prequel that need to be done. By the way this is my first time read Seo Kouji's work, I'll give my opinion based on my experienced reading fuuka not to compare with another Seo's work. I like the story even though a little bit cliche, but who cares? I enjoy the art that Seo's gave so beauty and clean. The development on characters are really good although a little bit being rushed. And I'm impressed with the way Seo's afflict me to be emotional with the conflict he put. ...

Spoilers so be alert: I have just started reading Fuuka yesterday May 4 2016, so I'm a bit late about the shit that it is happening.

So Fuuka, Akitsuki Fuuka, the daughter of Akitsuki Yamato and Akitsuki Yamato, both main characters of "Suzuka" is already dead, and followed by another girl who is named is Aoi Fuuka the child of the one who is driving the truck that hit Fuuka, at first I can't believe that she died and both Fuukas are knew each other just because of the guitar pick which has been missing and soon have been found, and both of them separated each ...

~ NO SPOILERS ~
Hello this is my first review so i hope it will help you .
I almost read all the manga by Kouji Seo sensei and they have all this beautiful art ,
i don't think that fuuka is his best manga "FOR NOW " ,
but I think the story is appreciable and has a large potential of development he is trying something new and it's really successful.
each character is well exploited and he has its own charm , and I think even those who do not like Suzuka will appreciate Fuuka because although it is in ...

This review has no spoilers, safe to read.

For the story, I gave it a 9, this manga is about highschool kids forming a band and aspiring in the big stage. The story is a bit cliche, but they add in a little spice, that makes this worth reading. The fast pacing is actually nice in this manga, even though they seem to rush the manga, they gave out the informations really well. For a music genre manga, of course it would be fast pacing, since it doesn't really have a music in it to fill in the gaps for time. Pretty sure if it ...

*As I usually prefer action/martial arts and comedy themed manga, I haven't had much of experience in romance/drama manga. So me writing a review on one says much already.

The story is quite simple, but with some emotional hooks and reminds me of a movie I once saw.

Main character is much like any other shounen manga protagonist - weak, wimpy kid - and as the story goes on his character grows more confident and evolves. (But that's what pulls us into this sort of manga - a character we can relate to.)

The story evolves around young Yuu who, for once- thanks to an ...

Let me preface this review by first saying something: I have never done this before. I am not the type to take to the internet ranting and raving over a manga, or anything else for that matter, that I found enjoyable. That said, I did not simply enjoy this manga, I fell in love with it. At the time at which I began reading this series, it had just reached its eighty-seventh chapter. I was not expecting to stay up until five in the morning, reading it all the way through the night, but that's exactly what I did. I think it's fair to say ...

One of the best mangas I've ever read. The only reason this manga did not land on a 10/10 is because of a few key points that I believe the author could have avoided. The base story is boy meets girl, boy and girl get together for a band and romance follows. But the author makes this typical romance saga into a drama full of tragedy and hope, the likes of which is rarely seen in this medium.

Let's begin with the breakdown.
What makes this manga good is the storytelling, the drama, the tragedies and the feelings of hope. It's a story that brings tears ...

This is above and away the one of manga I have ever read. It starts with what I would consider a very stereotypical premise for a generic-looking romance anime: really dense main character bumps into random hot tsundere, gets beat up by said tsundere, and(obviously) falls in love with her later. Now, this premise has probably turned some people off, but one of the interesting things about Fuuka is that you have to stick with the manga to really enjoy it.

Story: 9
I have been to many forums on the internet, and seen countless reviews for this manga, and the one thing that makes ...

tl;dr: A manga that starts off in a similar vein to the authors works though far weaker, but evolves into something completely different and becomes much better in doing so.

Fuuka is a manga written by Seo Kouji, who was previously well known for Suzuka and Kimi no Iru Machi. Both were romance focused manga rooted heavily in melodrama but also full of fluff, especially KNIM. This manga is actually a sequel to Suzuka in that the titular heroine Fuuka is the daughter of the main couple in Suzuka. Because of that, I expected something similar to Suzuka, wherein while Suzuka was romance with the world ...

I started reading Fuuka when it started coming out in 2014. I had finished Suzuka and that was one of my favorite manga at the time, so of course I was going to try the sequel. I made it until about forty chapters in and decided not to follow it as it was publishing anymore, partially because of the upsetting things that happened and moreso just because I was in university at the time and didn't feel like it anymore.

Fuuka is basically, brazenly Suzuka in reverse. It's about overcoming grief and deciding to live again through applying yourself to a new vocation, but with the ...

Fuuka tells the story of 5 students (initially) who decide to start a band after some events. It is a very common plot in this type of work, but the way it is counted makes all the difference.

Things you need to know:
Seo-sensei(author) has a unique universe in which some of his works take place in parallel, they are:
- Suzuka; prequel to Fuuka (tells the story of his parents); You don't need to read to understand Fuuka..
- Kimi no Iru Machi; Which has no connection with the previous two, but takes place in the same world and sometimes the characters interact in their works.

Strong points:

That was one hell of a ride! It's been a long time since I've read a manga that made a roller coaster ride of emotions. After reading it I just stared blankly for minutes just thinking on everything that happened in the series! Those last 10 chapters of it was just too much to handle that I couldn't stop my tears from flowing out of happiness. Everything in it is just perfect! all of the characters have an important role till the end that made this manga my top 1. Thank you TWGOK... you've been my top 1 manga for a long time but Fuuka ...

This is my first review ever on MAL since I have started to use this site just a couple of months ago despite being a manga&anime fan for over a decade.

I have to come clean- I started with the anime when it came out, there was one thing that really piqued my interest and made me check this one out- the color picture of Fuuka herself for the anime thumbnail. then I started watching and by the time I was done with the anime I realized 2 things:
1- Fuuka(the character) has charmed me as few other characters ever did
2- something felt fishy with this anime, ...

** To explain properly i might need to go into a little bit of spoilers. Although, for this manga you might just want to deal with the spoilers in this review so that you won't have to waste time reading it.

My context -
First of all, i started the series with anime. I instantly loved anime and i jumped right over to read manga. It was painful to read after some chapters.

Review according to aspects -
Story - 2
I have to say the story started off great. It gave off the vibe of all the great music anime that aired recently. It was blatant about ...
