I started reading this manga shortly after the first chapter was translated. I'll keep this review short so people can just get an understanding of it. The story of the manga is somewhat original as the characters attempt to pass trials set by the government to keep alive for the crime of not being in a relationship. The main character is an otaku with his only interest being in 2D, with an obsessive yandere girl who wants him and a few other very unique characters. A lot of mangas centered around being suspenseful end up feeling really random. A certain degree of randomness is present in almost all manga due to how it's released with it coming out over time and varying degrees of course correction due to feedback. However, in cases where the draw is the twists and turns, such as in death games, the abrupt nature of such can be glaringly obvious and it becomes quite clear that the author is changing from what they were originally planning or possibly even that they have no idea where they're going with the plot, rather just making things up as they go. The manga has an interesting storyline and quite entertaining characters, undergoing a lot of development for only 23 chapters. Original idea, good artwork and plot development with an ending open to interpretation. What can Akarui Sekai Keikaku really offer?
