This volume returns to having a constant protagonist, Oshikiri, who appears in all six chapters. Each story is self-contained and can be read on its own, but there is a bit of continuity established from chapter four ("Intruder") to chapter six ("Further Tales of Oshikiri- Walls").

Story, 7: The stories here were more focused on psychological horror and establishing the protagonist as mentally fragile due to his relative isolation at home. There are several supernatural themes developed in the later chapters that were cool to see.

Art, 7: Surprisingly, there is little biological horror in this volume, but the art remains solid as usual.

Characters, 7: Due to ... a common protagonist, the "characters" rating benefits. It was nice to have a recurring character again, and the side characters in each chapter also had some characterization.

Enjoyment, 7: I liked this much more than the previous volume. I think the stories in general were much stronger, though even my favorite chapter has its flaws.

Overall, 7: If anyone was similarly underwhelmed by the "Chi Tamaki" volume, I would recommend this. Fans of a recurring protagonist (or are familiar with "Tomie" or Souichi from previous volumes) may also find this entertaining.
