The heroine is scary and almost look exactly, black long hair which is hiding face, inexperience with outer world and never had a contact with anyone else, but in fact theyre quite pretty when their face is exposed

Both main characters are not confident about their appearance and people around try to help them. They also have a tendency to runaway from "beautiful looking" people.

Both manga involve a girl rejected by the first boy she liked. So, they sink into a stae of depression (aka "black" or scary). Kyouko loves curses, voodoo dolls where as Sunako collects skeletons and creepy stuff. Both of them believe in fairy tales or fantasies. The difference is in Skip Beat! Kyouko is trying her best to come to the top of showbiz world coz she loves it(though she started out to just get her revenge on sho). Whereas Sunako is trying to become a lady(not really!!) just because her aunt wants her to become one. All in all these two are typical shoujo manga with  read more

Reverse-harem shoujo parodies in absolutely no hurry to pair anyone off.

First of all, I like "The Wallflower" better. "Gokuraku Seishun Hockey Club" has the same feel to it, though. Main characters are also very much alike. It's something between "The Wallflower" and "Ouran High School Host Club".

The protagonists of both series are unorthodox, socially inept to a ridiculous extent, and capable of providing endless comic relief as they work their way towards the normality that most others take for granted. Neither Kuroki Tomoko (WataMote) nor Nakahara Sunako (YamaNade) are anything close to the average shoujo heroine—or any generic manga heroine, for that matter. Their uniqueness allows their respective series to hold positions as two of the arguably most transgressive, norm-defying manga in circulation.

Although the main female in HYD isn't gloomy like Sunako, both of them are strong and surrounded by four good-looking guys. Other characters are also alike in personalities and both are romances with some comedy. Both stories are really sweet and you'd probably enjoy them.

Comedy Romance! With a harem of boys. Both main characters are a little silly and quirky and it's fun to read the way they interact with the boys.

Both of these stories include the main female trying to become a lady but after a few chapters NC just turns into a story about the club and not about becoming a lady.

both have a super cute lead characters with character defects when dealing with other people.

Both manga have girls that can utterly kick ass...
reportRecommended by _wEiRdfiRe_
They are both about cute people living under the same roof for free. They both have something that they need to accomplish, or do. With the wallflower, there is a time limit and they are expected to finish the task by the end of a certain time, but in house of beauties, they need to accomplish their task BEFORE they get to live in the house.

If you like Perfect Girl Evolution / Wallflower you might like Tamara. The stories are very different, but if you like humor mixed with occasional decapitation and handsome ghosts give it a try. Tamara has a strong girl character who does not fit in anywhere, and she makes those she lives with crazy but she has spunk and there is a supernatural story line. Tamara is by the mangaka of Mars.

Lonely and unpopular girl learns to befriend flamboyant gays, and fashion nerds. It's very funny and is actually really emotional because it shows her journey of trying to escape from her family's harsh expectations of her.

Girl with low self-esteem who has been hardened by cruel treatment of society learns to open up and be happy.

Maniac Road is about hardworking neet suddenly lives with a group of girls who own a dying shop and he helps them rebuild the shop. A lot of other funny tropes - must read if you like battleships. The Wallflower has a lot of similar tropes as well.

Both mangas deal with a premise of a girl that is "rough around the edges" being in a constant company of attractive and popular guys and being put into various situations together with them. Both girls have a "main suitor" with whom they develop the relationship throughout the story. Kurohyou to 16-sai is more romance focused, while also having a "human pet" element to its plot. And Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge is a lot more wacky and comedic. It's interesting to see how these different series realize similar set-ups and romantic threads.

Although the mangaka are not the same, the story is quite similar. They both have a girl as the main characters and whatever she lacks in beauty and looks, she makes up for it in her studies. The girl is surrounded by four handsome boys that help her look better than she is and she learns that she is beautiful.

Both the main girls are "scary" and there are handsome guys around her. The humor is a bit more light in Charming Junkie but Wallflower is equally good.

Same theme : two girls must be become "Lady's" in the time allowed. But the rest it's differente, in Hadashi, the poor Girl become a Lady for his new rich husband. and Nadeshiko, it's an challenge.

Maria could be branded as anti-social. But despite her sharp tongue, she wants to change and tries to lovely transform although she tends to become even more scarier when she tries to. But nevertheless, Maria wants to change for the better. Sunako of Yamato Nadeshiko is also anti-social and she loves scary things. She's the exact opposite of Maria who wants to be loved. Sunako is detached to the world and she doesn't want to change. She hates beautiful things and her friends are dummies from anatomy class. She's happy with her life, the only problem is, the four guys she's living with are the ones  read more

Both stories main female character have aversions towards the opposite sex. In Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge Sunako can't look at a dazzling creature (beautiful people) with out having a nose bleed, where as The Devil Within Rion can't stand being near devils (grown up males). Both are super funny and supper cute. If you enjoy one you'd definitely enjoy the other ^^.

In Yamato and Koibana!, the female leads have a physical averse reaction to the male population that doesn't allow them to socialize properly. They have to cope with being around handsome men that just wont leave them alone.
reportRecommended by Aarana
Both female main characters have severe aversions to beautiful things (to the point of a physical reaction) brought on by rejections by boys in the past.In Beauty, the girl gets sick and throws up when seeing beautiful things. In PGE, the girl gets nosebleeds when seeing beautiful things.

Hana to Akuma and the Wallflower are very different manga's with very different settings. While Wallflower is about an eccentric girl surrounded by bishies, Hana to Akuma is about a dumb (but very sweet) girl, that was raised by a demon. There is a reason for recommending these very different stories though. These stories aren't like Bleach p.e. that it is never-ending. I recommend these series 'cs every chapter is a story on its own. Sometimes it is a few chapters long, but you'll never get the idea you read a manga stitched together from cliffhanger to cliffhanger. Both are definitely worth a try since they  read more

I've got the similar feeling while reading these two mangas. OK, Wallflower is real funny, while Five is more drama, but both has stong girls surrounded by marvellous guys.
