Ahhhh! This was so cute! The story isn't the most original one, but it was well written. While reading this, I always thought things like so cute, sweeeeeet and things like that. The art is cute too, it's not amazing but it's cool. The character were really good! I really liked Akai cause even though he has a scary face, he has a sweet personality, kinda like in angel densetsu. The main girl too was cool, cause she wasn't an annoying dumbass girl like some other shoujo. Well, I really enjoyed this manga and it's a short read, only 4 chapters, so it's worth your ... time! So yeah read it!

I honestly think this is one of the best stories out of this shojo trope, if not THE best. I was a bit sad after reading it since it was over, but the length probably has most to do with why it's that good. Anywho, all characters are likeable. The female lead is funny, emotionally mature,very bright and you genuinely get a sense that she's great with people, without the mangaka having to shove it down your throat. Usually delinquent male leads are either tsunderes, overbearing or straight up saps, but Akai is really a nice balance; a family oriented guy, that can be caring ... and strict when needed. The kindergartner duo is absolutely great, gave the story the right amount of cuteness and cheekiness without it turning annoying, and most of all, their interactions with the leads feel actually meaningful. The rest of the cast is also extremely good despite obviously not being focused on that much: the fl's previous crush is a really cute, inoffensive guy that really is just there to provide actual character growth and not some convoluted and overdone jealousy arc; the girl friends are reasonable and thankfully not the sort of nosy friends you'd see in shojo, despite caring for the fl they don't give her love life much attention except for the things she herself brings up; and lastly the "delinquent pupil" character, although very random and insignificant (and definitely feeling like the least necessary in the entire story), gave us some really nice scenes... honestly I'd like to see a quirky character like that more often. Aside from an arrangement of well written characters (which I'm gonna give the mangaka their flowers for cause come on in 4 chapters?), the story has a surprisingly good pace. I feel that, despite the story setting the expectation of Akai becoming the next romantic interest for the fl from the first chapter, her affection for him steadily grows throughout the rest of the work without her labelling it or idealizing it; you end up with the feeling that she's indeed taking her time and savoring her new crush.

If longer stories were written with this much care, how wonderful would that be...
