I have always been a fan of Motomi Kyousuke's works. The stories the author produces are always such unique gems in the shoujo genre. Beast Master is no exception and is one of my favorites. Although it remains short with only two volumes, the story is conveyed flawlessly.
Story: The premise of the story isn't one that I'm altogether unfamiliar with: Wild boy is tamed by normal girl. I've seen it a few times before. But in Beast Master, it was still given a unique perspective that made me enjoy it.
Art: Motomi Kyousuke's art is quite unusual for the shoujo genre, and perhaps that it why ... I love it. I haven't found a shoujo manga with an art style anything like hers. The character's faces display emotions very well.
Character: Leo and Yuiko are both charming, adorable, and often hilarious when they get into their usual antics. I couldn't help but to fall in love with the both of them.
Enjoyment: 10/10. Of all the manga I own, this is one of the series I reread the most often. It never gets old, and I stil enjoy it.
Without a doubt, Beast Master is a worthy read.

STORY: About a romance between a girl who really loves animals and a beast-like boy. The boy looks really scary but is actually really nice, and very childish.

This is probably one of the most unorthodox manga I've ever read, but I think it's for that reason that I loved it so much. The phrase "short and sweet" definitely describes this series. Even though it's only two volumes long, it contains more feeling than I've seen in longer series.

The art is lovely, but that's to be expected from Kyousuke Motomi. The characters are likable and real - you won't find Mary-Sues in this series. The story, though short, was great and all loose ends were tied at the end. I'd definitely recommend this lighthearted romantic comedy.

My second Manga... and I must say that I was surprised after the low expectations that my first one set for me.

But, it was really cute... enjoyable and everything.
The art is really good and you just wanna get into the Manga world and pinch their cheeks because the characters are sooo cute and well-drawn.
And I'm sick of people who over-analyze and say that the characters arent well-developed. They expect Manga to be like 50 chapters for a character to be complete. I think the characters are very well-developed to and the Manga isn't boring as a result. I got to enjoy the characters and I ... understood them.
I must say that the author of this manga knows her limit very well. She knows when the readers get bored and so makes it exciting when she thinks that. And so all the little pointless stories aren't over-done like in the first Manga i read (which was just horrid). I think that the Manga did everything it needed in the 8 chapters.
but there were some of those little pointless stories, which is why it wasnt perfect.
But I still like it.
Read it if: a) you like cute-looking characters b) want a short but well-developed manga c) like cute little romances that dont happen immediately d) appropriate, nothing sex-like or perverted e) your bored
dont read it if: a) you want something perfect b) you want A LOT of romance c) you like things that end in sex

I really love this story!!!! It was so wonderful!! I was truly surprised. It is definitely one of my top favorites!!!

When I first started to read it I was suspicious that it wasn't going to be any good and that I would just move on and find my next manga. But I really fell in love with Leo!!!! His personality was so adorable that I just couldn't stand it!!! I was truly jealous of Yuiko!! I instantly fell in love with the story after Leo's true self came out!!

The only thing that I wish is that I wanted it longer!!! It was so great ... I just didn't want it to end!!! And that is how any story should truly be!!! This manga gets a perfect score in my book!! And I would say that this is a must read!!!!

Beast Master is an unique manga that, when you finish reading it, it leaves you begging for more. The characters were really well-portrayed and weren't cliche, plus the art's really good too. After the whole manga ends, you would think more and ponder about the future, the character's future and everything. It really is a very special manga. Pity it was too short! That's how I finished it in one day, (p.s) its addictive too :D

A very cute story about a girl and a strange (and very cute) boy.

When I first started reading it I thought it was going to be the kind of lovestory where she is desperately in love with him and he doesn't care. But I was quite surprised because he was quite the different type.

The story is short, but very cute and exciting. Probably more a girls manga than boys.

I really enjoyed this manga.
Story and art had very nice atmopher.
Character were very well drawn ---> I think that Leo was the best of characters.

This is my first review on manga, so..it might kind of worse. But since Beast Master is one of my favorite manga, I've been looking forward to review it.

From the art side,the view and the way the characters are being represented is just great. A boy with a ferocious look outside but a warm, pure heart on the inside. That kind of character is hard to be sketch.

And the line story are just amazing. Somehow, it may be cliche, a high school love story..*hell yeah, it's a shoujo manga..*, but what makes it different is the story line where Leo is looking ferocious on ... the outside but really soft in actuality. The manga-ka must be really imaginative.

Overall, this manga is the best and actually, I am hoping for a further volume of this manga, as I want to see Leo overload cuteness. How I wish I could met a guy like Leo.

This manga is amazing. The story, art and personalities of the characters all blend in perfectly. This manga will make yhu laugh and cry, both in just 2 volumes. Yhu can reread it and it will feel like the first time reading it again.!

And yet, another masterpiece from Motomi Kyousuke-sensei. This is my first time to encounter a character who has a beast inside him. And what's more interesting is that there is this girl who can actually tame the beast.(how? oh dear, read it yourself. haha!) I really enjoyed this manga. The story moved me and I almost cried a river. LOL. And lastly, I WANT A PET BOYFRIEND! :))

Story (8) - Aspects of the storyline have been used before, such as - a student being avoided due to his delinquent/scary appearance. Overall I thought the plot was good. There was some twist and turns that I wasn't expecting, but added greatly to the story. Some things kept you guessing. It isn't a long manga, but the story moved along well, and I didn't feel it was rushed along, or cut off to suddenly.

Art (9) - I really like the artwork. It was clean, and well one. The main male character was done really well. ... It was interesting seeing the "scary" side transform into the "gentle" side. I thought it was really well done. Some manga can be hard to read because of how busy it is, but I enjoyed how easy to read this manga was.

Character (9) - I enjoyed the characters; the main as well as the supporting. The supporting characters also had some sort of depth. For how short the manga was, I felt the characters had the right amount of depth and development.

Enjoyment (10) - I enjoyed this manga more than I thought I would. It is one that I would read over again multiple time.

Overall (10) - My overall rating for Beast Master is a 10. I would recommend this manga to anyone, it's definitely worth reading.

If this was an anime this would've been my FAVORITE anime ever. If you do not like romance in general then don't watch this. If you do like romance manga/anime then I HIGHLY suggest this to you. (This manga is only 7 actual chapters, I craved for more at the very end.)

Story 10/10: It's about this girl who this guy transfers to they're school and he looks really scary & dangerous. She gives him a chance and talks to him and realizes he isn't dangerous he just looks that way until ... he smiles. They soon become friends and maybe a little more...?

Art 10/10: I love, love, LOVED the art! It's so amazing. That is all.

Characters 10/10: They have such amazing personalities. The boy looks like a delinquent until you get to know him a little more. His personality is just so cute like if you know Haru Yoshida he reminds me of Haru Yoshida.

Enjoymet 10/10: 10/10. Best manga I've ever read.

Overall: 10/10: Ah this anime was so cute like the first time I read it I thought: THIS IS TO SHORT!! ONLY 7 CHAPTERS!?! MAKE MORE!! Overall this manga is the best manga I have ever read in my opinion.

First of all, there are two short extra stories that have nothing to do with Beast Master, and I won't be talking about them.

This manga is quite short but it is enjoyable.

This boy and girl become friends, best friends, and then they fall in love.
The boy seems very scary but is actually nice.
Seems pretty generic, but the story is likeable, and not everything is what they seem to be.
The comedy is funny, too.

The story is good. It is about an animal-loving girl that animals seem to hate, and a strange boy whom all animals love. The boy seems really scary but is kind at heart, but gets really violent when he sees blood.

Art:

The art is really nice: I really like the author's art.

Character:

The characters were good. They weren't all the same they each had some sort of personality.

Enjoyment:

If you like comedy, drama, romance, you'll probably enjoy this.

Overall:

I liked this manga because the art is nice, I liked the comedy, the characters were alright, and the story was pretty cute.

I would recommend this manga to you if you like short stories about a boy and a girl's becoming friends and falling in love.

It is one of my favorite manga.. It is only two volumes soo yay but if you guys want to read longer version. I recommend "Dengenki Daisy" and art style is very similar to Beast Master and same author.

8 : Not so much character development and growth of the side characters. Usually focused more on the two protagonist.

This is the first manga that I ever read and I love it

Story 8/10
I wasn't going to read this because it is too short and I am not a fan of stories that are rushed because of time constraints, but I have to say that, on the contrary, this story left me wanting so much more!! I feel this story could have been explored so much further (although I do prefer that it was cut short rather than have it ruined by including a lot of cliches or story not really going anywhere). The plot is fun, cute and effortlessly charming. You can feel characters' chemistry since they first come across each other. I enjoyed ... the humor used in this manga. Yes, the story is predictable and a bit like a soap opera, it actually reminded me of a more civilized Tarzan, but the approach used by the author makes it feel refreshing.

Art 8/10
So, I don't know if this is an effect of me loving the story so much, but on the first chapter I didn't really like the art. By the end of it, I loved it and found it heartwarming. I loved Reo's design.

Characters 8/10
I found very refreshing that Reo wasn't your typical "bad boy" because he was carrying emotional wounds or marked by trauma. He was just not used to social interactions (for his own protection) and came across as scary but he was just like a puppy, a pure soul, perfectly matched with a carefree and kind person (Yuiko). Something else worth noting is how upfront and open with their feelings and with physician interaction. One of those few mangas that don't make you cringe with awkwardness whenever a couple is getting closer or intimate. I also loved how selfless and protective Yuiko and Reo were towards each other. I do agree that they didn't really needed to say they loved each other because it was obvious.

The adults in the manga didn't really feel like adults but I liked all of them.

I would completely recommend this manga, a light, fun and enjoyable read.

This manga has a hero who has all the qualities that attract women to men:
1. Loves the girl with true loyalty
2. Is really nice, fun to be around, but can get angry when he needs to protect the girl
3. When he gets angry, only the girl can control / "tame" him
4. Looks above average, strong
5. Rich guy

Maybe I'm overthinking this, haha. I just saw a video of Jordan Peterson where he laid out these characteristics that attract women.
And here, in this manga we see these characteristics quite clearly. It is a shoujo, of course the mangaka wants to create a "dreamy hero".

I feel these ... qualities are only enough for initial attraction. For long lasting love you'll need kindness, respect, trust, understanding, ability to have fun and relax around each other. And many other things.
I really enjoyed reading the manga because it felt so innocent, cute and simple. The characters are lively, loveable, and don't feel forced or artificial.
