They remind me of the other mostly because the characters are slow to realize their feelings for the other. It's somewhat slow-paced, but not in a bad way. The girls are both quite desirable among the boys in their high schools, while the men of both manga are socially awkward.

Kimi ni Todoke and Hibi Chouchou adapts shoujo to the core with their gimmicks. Both series' main protagonists explores youth during their time at school. The relationships they forge with others become a key development aspect in their development. From those relationships emerges themes of friendship and romance. There is decent amount of drama present in both series as well. They often revolves around relationships and real life problems. Recommended for fans of shoujo.

In a sense, I Love You Baby feels kind of like Hibi Chouchou Jr. The main characters are younger, but their relationship gives off a similar vibe, with both being quite shy and inexperienced and the main female character being afraid of men, yet attracting unwanted attention from guys on a regular basis. Also, the main male character practices a martial art and is very good at it, though he struggles to be the best and has someone he just can't seem to beat/someone he looks up to that he doesn't seem to compare to, at least in his own mind. Well they got a crossover, what more? The female protagonists always have dazed eyes and don't show emotion often. The artstyles are clear and very appealing. Highly recommend for those want to enjoy romance

Both series are classic shoujo with a lot of relationship building. The main guy has more or less of an indifferent personality but does open up especially with the main female lead. Both series also crafts romance with interpersonal connections. Anyone who is interested in some shoujo should give both a try.

When it comes to romance, both series has similar themes. The main character (opposite genders though) are highly popular among their classmates because of their looks. However, they get involved in a relationship with a plain person. Both series explores that relationship to various degrees that really brings out their persona. There is a good amount of drama that is present as well. While Hibi Chouchou has mostly comedy, Suki tte Li na yo does deal with some mature themes.

Both manga involve really shy girls. Both are slow-paced and have this warm, cosy feeling.

They are both about a a very popular girl who falls in love with the male protagonist because of how nonchalent they are towards their social status. However, the main difference is most likely the attitude that both female protagonists take on. While Sakura has a more extrovert personality as she chases after the boy with her whole heart & tries to make conversation, Suiren is just as introvert as her male partner.

Very shy characters who are shy together and try to work on being able to talk - these are both cute overload mangas so if you like the one I think you will like the other. Hajiotsu goes at a faster pace than Hibi Chouchou.

both innocent pure girl main characters that gradually fall in love with pure hearted guys

Hibi chouchou and 3d kanojo are similar in the feeling one gets from the way the highschool romance is handled. When reading both of them you egt a feeling of lightheartedness and freedom. Trust me if you like one you will definitely like the other

- female lead viewed as an unapproachable flower by the people at her school - shy, beautiful, popular female lead that doesnt have the best history to guys - blonde male lead - the best friends of the female lead remind me of eachother - sweet shojo romances!
reportRecommended by TheDrawingNeko
The male MC of Ojojojo resembles the female MC of Hibi Chouchou in the way that both of them barely talk and won't often show what they think. Also, both are similar in their overall feel to it, although Ojojojo has a bit more story going on, and a bit faster pace.

- They're not so similar but if you're looking for another romance you could give this a try. - Cute couple and has its moments.
reportRecommended by Huqeo
A slow paced wholesome romance between shy characters. The female lead rarely shows her emotions and stands out from the crowd.
reportRecommended by trashuri
Both feature shy but very pretty female leads who have difficulty in social circumstances and are generally viewed as difficult to approach. Their shyness is in part due to how pretty they are, making others worried about approaching them, and they become more isolated from others as they grow up. However, in Mikansei demo Koi ga Ii, the shyness is portrayed much better. The female lead in Mikansei demo Koi ga Ii is actually a shy person, who is awkward but slowly opens up to people she is close to, and very reserved and has difficulty to talking people she doesn't know well. In Hibi Chouchou,  read more

Both of them have quiet timid and akward couples... both quite enjoyable and not so cheesy... both fluffy and so adorable...

Similarities: The relationship dynamics between the two are quite similar in the sense that they're very sweet and caring to each other. Lots of fluff and the female leads both have attended an all girls school and are quiet. Differences: Hibi Chouchou doesn't have as much opposition to the relationship as Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku does.

Both female leads and male leads are quiet and a bit shy. They're sweet to each other and complement each other well. Both are set in a high school environment. They have mature personalities but there's still lots of fluff.

- Both cute tropes of couple sweet and cute yet awkward at the same time. Hope you'll like these two - Well hosaka-sensei is rather short but its kind of fast paced considering the amount of chapters on it so for those who like fast development will like it. - Good amount of sweetness between these two so I'd like for you guys to give both a try :)

Extremely shy girls fall in love for the first time.
reportRecommended by Jerakor
They agree that the protagonists are very expressionless but cute and for some reason they end up involved (in different ways each one) with the shy bespectacled protagonist on duty who is not very good at socializing. They are slowly but surely growing in romance as they grow individually. Very cute

- Both cute couples. Sure that you're gonna love them both (Atleast for me) - Not so similar couples but has its moments from each couple. - Both gives you dopamine

Both manga gives similar feeling, expressionless protagonist and involve school life romance.

Both are very cute mangas with shy protagonists.

Both girls are extremely pretty and get a lot of attention from boys (in Hibi Chouchou, the girls also admire her, whereas in Girl in Heels, the girls think she's an attention-seeker). This caused them to have a somewhat emotionless or cold personality.

These mangas are similar not by plot, but by the overall light, cute, fuzzy feelings. Both mangas have slow, realistic, cute romances and are very realistic slice of life, school life shoujo mangas. Orange has a very unique plot, but it only adds to the character, because you can see her development and thoughts and internal conflict. Hibi Chouchou does not have that, because Suiren (the main girl) barely talks at all, but it's very cute to see how she develops. Both are very adorable light mangas, and have the potential to become absolutely amazing.

both are about an innocent young couple experiencing love.

Both have soft cute drawings and feature a protagonist that behaves in a odd way: in HC is the girl while in 360ºMaterial is the boy.
reportRecommended by Orulyon
These two manga series are very very different. Hibi Chouchou is a contemporary romance while Natsume Yuujinchou is a supernatural manga with no romantic aspect. And yet, I was reminded of Natsume while reading Hibi. Both of these manga are "quiet" stories. They're not "loud" or "demanding" but absolutely captivating nonetheless. They are sweet, calming and reassuring. Their atmosphere and vibe really reminded me of one another. If you're looking for a manga that feels like Hibi Chouchou, Natsume is a really good pick.

Both manga are about a non-social/recluse girl and a non-social boy. Hibi Chouchou has the same warm feeling and atmosphere as Cat Street.
reportRecommended by Koemine
I think both manga have the same atmosphere as the other. The main girls in the manga are quiet and reserved. They have similar personalities since they tend to "separate" themselves and feel awkward forming relationships. The girls seek to reach out to the boys they like and end up expanding their own worlds.
reportRecommended by Koemine
Kimi to Watashi de Sakaseru Hana (The Flower That Blooms Within You and Me) and Hibi Chouchou is sinilar because there is a girl who is adored bz the boys but she falls in love with an "ordinary" boy who is in a club. But everything else is conpletely different like the character's attitudes. Ririko speaks a lot more than Suiren and has a lot of friends and Chisaki-kun is in the gardening club while Kawasumi is in the karate club, but all the stories in Kimi no Kiss de Me wo Samasu are really cute so I'd recommend both stories either way! :)
reportRecommended by Jo-Ann
Cute romances without much drama and a shy lead.

In both of them the main girl has troubles talking because of bad experiences in the past

Both have similar art style and story pace. Both stories are about trying to break out of their shells and improving their people-skills.
reportRecommended by ink-and-paper
I am reminded of Hibi Chouchou when I read Love Calendar. The stories are a bit similar, but the characters are different as far as personality. In both manga, a girl falls for a boy who does martial arts.
reportRecommended by Koemine
Cute, sweet romances featuring extremely shy girls. Both are melodrama-free manga about quiet people falling in love.
