Although still ongoing, Anitomo is a great read. It’s quite different from the normal shoujo plot and doesn’t involve any unnecessary dramas either; it is straight to the point most of the time.

Anitomo literally means “My Brother’s Friend”. While the main couple is adorable, The brother himself is one of a kind...he cracks me up so much. And it’s unlikely that any of you won’t have a crush on him trust me xD
There are few moments in the manga which are absolutely HILARIOUS. Not going to spoil what it’s about but you’ll know.
Also you’d expect that the brother friend will devote most of ... his time to the mc but their moments aren’t overdone and leaves you wanting a little more of their interactions which is great

The summary is a bit misleading though because it gave me an impression that Mai (mc) is quite conservative and old school types but she’s actually really sweet and just doesn’t like following the trend. More like finding ‘the one’ and not casually dating for the sake of it.

The art is really great. 9/10
And so is the plot. 9/10
Honestly, I just jumped right in without much expectations but wow it’s pretty good.
Do give it a try if you’re looking for a good and different Rom-Com Shoujo!

If you are looking for a shoujo manga with not so slow-pacing romance development between the two people and less dramatic misunderstandings that can lead to a big headache for you as a reader, then I will recommend Ani Tomo to you.

Though this still contains less chapters and still on-going, I find this manga really enjoyable to read.

Story:
I did enjoy reading this since there's also comedy in it. As much as I don't want to put some spoilers, it's so funny how the guy keeps on talking about his love interest to his friend in a room while his friend's sibling, who ... is the guy's love interest, couldn't avoid to eavesdrop since the wall is so thin. Blame the wall and the guy's mouth. It's fun to read and it's not so cheesy like some typical shoujo mangas. Plus, it's about the journey of two characters as on their newfound romance. You don't have to wait for fifty chapters to see them together finally. The story is sweet and somehow realistic as you read it.

Characters:
I like the characters. They are all likeable and the main couple are not like some dumb characters there who kept on doing stupid things that can lead to another stupid drama which can ruin your day. They are so cute and sweet but the most appealing here is the girl's brother. He's diabolically handsome and funny especially when he interacts with the main guy's little sister. There's also one character here that gave me some headache. I know the author placed him there for a reason but I do hope the character's gonna change. There are still few chapters and maybe on next chapters, we might see some different sides of the characters. Lookng forward to it.

Art:
Total eye candy to our eyes. Since it's shoujo, it's expected to see handsome guys than beautiful and plain heroine. But in Ani Tomo, I was kind of surprise to see a beautiful heroine. I'm not into shoujo but I read some usually are the popular ones. Many main heroines in shoujo mangas have bland or plain looking art style but here Nanase really looks beautiful. So as the guys here. The art style is also clean making it pleasant for the readers.


I assure you that you'll gonna really enjoy this as this is not your typical shoujo stuffs. And over all I give this manga 10! Hope this review will help you.
