The premise of both series adapts a more of slice of life tone rather than a traditional story format. However, they both portray comedy and realism very well with the contents of their presentations. Both series' main characters' interactions play key roles to bring memorable moments. Most of these moments revolves around school activities but also with a diversity of creativity. Highly recommended for anyone who is interested in a mixture of comedy and slice of life.

When I first read Kuzumi-kun, I thought of My Neighbor Seki. Both center on girls who are extremely obsessed with their male classmate who quietly goes about his business. My Neighbor Seki is more episodic where Seki is doing a different activity at his desk from setting up dominoes to playing with shogi pieces or action figures, while Rumi narrates what is going on. Rumi is constantly distracted and ultimately gets in trouble with the teacher at the end of the chapter. The series emphasizes comedy first, with romance being relegated to a part when one of her classmates thinks the two are in a  read more

Random quick comic relief.

Eccentric highschool boy and a normal girl that unwillingly gets dragged into his weird behaviors. Lots of comedy, but Yugami-kun has actual romance while Tonari no Seki is purely gag manga.

They tell the everyday life of a girl through inner monologues about her strange situations in school.

Both are class romcom between one boy and one girl, where one of them try to do something weird and the other give reaction (Boke & Tsukkomi comedy). In Saeki san, Saeki is trying to sleep during class and in Seki-kun, Seki try to do different weird stuffs.

Looking for a slice of life series with interesting concepts? Gin no Saji and Tonari no Seki-kun will guide you with its characters and setting that invites creativity. Both series involves a main male protagonist who experiences with new ideas in their lives. Through these experiences, they learn to have fun and more about what they do. Although both series doesn't focus explicitly on a story, they have well-thought out themes that creates a sensation. Recommended for anyone interested in creative slice of life.

Both feature likable and eccentric characters that are outgoing and easy to relate to. Their over the top everyday antics will guarantee a smile on your face. Lighthearted shot comedy chapters are very fun to read.

While seemingly different on the outside, both Tonari no Seki-Kun and Himouto! Umaru-chan brings slice of life in a more creative form. Both series' main protagonists has an open mind when it comes to creativity. There's an absurd amount of humor in both series that stretches with a wide variety of events for both series. And while they don't follow any storyline or arc, they make it up with the distinctive events of what every day life should be in its most playful form.

Both are school/class romcom between one boy and one girl, where one of them try to do something weird and the other give reaction (Boke & Tsukkomi comedy). In Seki-kun, Seki try to do something weird because he is bored, and in Sukinako, Mie do weird stuff because she can't see clearly as she always forget to bring eye-glasses

Both are held mostly in school setting. Each chapter sums up neatly. Both are extremely funny in unexpected ways.

These manga are comedies about a person with a remarkable ability to resolutely ignore reality and think their own way, and their tsukkomi friend. In both of them, a third character has a delusion that romance is going on.

Both are very comedic having a straight man character and a funny man character a double act high school scenario Which the funny guy does something weird or outrageous and the straight man tried to use common sense but it feel like it’s useless but a very funny how they play it out in each chapter it’s a endless laugh of stories just one is more mature

Short reads that provoke ample laughter.

The random nature of both these titles drive their comic narratives. Both are extremely funny.

These two series feature short chapters good for quick comic relief.
reportRecommended by radiantfire
These two comedies revolve around eccentric protagonists who think of the most abnormal ways to past time (like in Tonari no Seki-kun) or celebrate a relationship (such as in Choku).

Main female character is concerned about activities of her classmates. In Tonari no Seki-kun, the girl observes her neighboring guy classmate do all sorts of weird activities that might get him into trouble, while in Takahashi-san, the girl uses headphones to listen in on the boys' conversations. Throughout the chapters, the girl would provide commentary on what is going on. and try to keep their own activities a secret. It is mostly around high school life.

Both Manga are hilarious I highly recommend both if you like to read high school kids doing wacky stuff that so funny you can't stop laughing.

In these two serialisations, comedy transpires via the male protagonist who can easily has an "out of the box" mentality.

Comedic Manga about the daily school life. Both manga feature various shenanigan's from the main characters and side characters. SKET Dance is more likely to have some serious moments and story arcs compared to Tonari no Seki-kun which generally has a new scenario every chapter. Both are hilarious and I highly recommend them. :)
