In both of these shounen titles, we follow the journey of the male protagonist and their foray into the sport of boxing.

Both are manga in which the male protagonist is trained in boxing by a skilled female. Girls of the Wild's is a full color manhwa that includes a broad range of martial arts while Buyuden focuses just on boxing.

Buyuden and Rikudou explores a journey - a guy who steps into the ring and breaks into the boxing realm with their will. Indeed, both series focuses on a lot on boxing and the nature of what fighting is like. Throughout both series, we see how they tackle hardships both in and outside the ring. While both series has a lot of character dynamics, their atmospheric setting contrasts somewhat. Buyuden has more of a shounen like style including the lighthearted comedy while Rikudou mostly retains a mature way of telling its story.

Both series deals with teens who have such natural physical talent that they can do anything effortlessly better than others. Until the protagonist runs into another person who happens to have a better fighting talent, that gets them interested enough to try it out.

Although they follow the premise of different sports, both series adapts a story about an underdog character who follows their dreams with a strong sense of determination. The main themes of both series involves an ambitious goal. And throughout their story, we see how much the main character improves. Both series has decent amount of action and mechanics that relates to their sport. In Buyuden, there is also sparks of romance that develops later on in the story.

They both are about fighting. Buyuden is only about boxing, while Holyland compromises a mix of different kinds of martial arts. The coming of age is a major theme in both. Action and romance are the main genres in the manga. Both protagonists have a love interest and seek to have their love blossom as they continue inside the world of fighting.

The main characters, although of the opposite traits [Take Isamu is athletic and good at studies while Sakuragi Hanamichi is a hopeless romantic gangster and doesn't excel in studies], started to play the sports initially to impress the girl they like who also happen to love and play the sports. However, they both develop the love for the sports and the eagerness to improve.

These mangas have a young guy who starts fighting because of a girl and both show them learning their sports from beginner up and both have girls who are stronger than the main male character but who the guy likes. Full Contact is martial arts and Buyuden is boxing.

Combat sport becomes a prominent part of the main characters' lives in both series. There is a good deal of characterization that revolves their progresses as they face prominent rivals. From underdog to an accomplished fighter, both series shows how much characters can change through hard work and values. Both series also has some subtle romance along with comedy. There is also a nice amount of mechanics revolved around the sports that the characters participate in. In Buyuden, it's about boxing while Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru focuses on karate and martial arts.
