6.9/10
This manga is a train wreck of writing and emotions. Not only is this eerily similar to “Oregairu” with the characters and personal dialogue, but it’s just done poorly. The charm of “Oregairu” stems from the consistent and well-written characters, which this manga does not have.
At first glance, you’d think the characters are relatively deep with their own characteristics that make themselves unique, but the more the story develops, the more you realize the characters have an inconsistent personality with poor explanations by the author on why they acted out of place.
The plot is also pretty poorly organized, as there’s not much being
...
done in a chapter or series of chapters; most of them could’ve been summed up in one panel, so the manga seems like half of its continuity is filler.
As a hardcore fan of the “Oregairu” series, I should’ve loved this; but it just fell flat and didn’t have much uniqueness apart from the real-deal. There’s some character development, and the plot still is passable, so the manga isn’t the worst read out there.
