This is one of if not the best betrayed by a party/kicked out trope I’ve read in recent memory. I didn’t have high hopes , but I decided to read it anyways cause I like fantasy tr@sh.

Anyways, let me mention the obvious great about this manga: The art. Absolutely astonishing… I haven’t seen such well-drawn, realistic boobs even in doujin-…. Uh, I mean the fight scenes and characters are very well-done and detailed.

Another surprisingly good thing about this is the mc’s purpose/resolve. He may seem generic/wimpy at first, but he obviously would act like that after being always lesser-than compared to his talented childhood ... friend and almost being killed solely because he was too weak. I know it’s not the “funnest” experience in the world reading about characters that possess a sense of realism and trauma, but I like it. It’s also a nice change of pace where the mc doesn’t go toward the revenge route while still possessing aspirations to be a great adventurer.

The plot progression is pretty balanced with the mc not instantly becoming a behemoth as well. However, I could go without the unnecessary fan-service in some chapters as it does make me feel like a degenerate; thankfully, it seems to be dying down a bit in the later chapters.

The manga doesn’t even have a slow start, you just need to come in with an open-mind before liking or hating it because of the trope. Anyways, enjoy.

The manga is not that original, but i wouldn't say it's like every other one, it has great art, good character design and the story is good. The only downside is that there are only 17 chapters translated.
The mc gets betrayed and instead of searching for revenge he chooses to go his own way and become stronger. He has an inferiority complex because of being overshadowed by his childhood friend all his life, but he wasn't that weak to start off, he was a B rank healer who needed to be protected in battle. He gets a bust in power at the start of the ... story but doesn't become op. Every character in the story has a different personality and different designs. The mc is a healer which is not that common and has dragon powers but is not hotheaded; he is shy, is not obsessed with women, power or money and can think by himself.
In general a great manga.

Nevermind the story or characters. One could kidnap, torture, kill and desecrate the remains of the MC's mother and it would all be solved if they just half-assed apologised and took a beating later (which the MC would go to heal them afterwards). The set-up for revenge and the actual payback is completely out of proportion in every situation. Don't waste your time, this is unreadable.

I have to ramble now because animeslist won't let me save your time with a short review, so here you go: The problem of the series is the protagonist and his general outlook towards conflict resolution. His relationship with ... the dragon waifu is fine, although very generic, and even generic "immortal beings are rescued by random adventurers" plot at least have them have sex nowadays. Maybe this story targets 12 year olds? It would certainly explain the lack of death and constant "a girl has boobs" plotlines.

Honestly, I have no problem if that's the case, but again, the balance has to be right. You can't have people constantly trying to kill the MC, or "dominate" his waifu, saying the most disgusting stuff, just for it all to come down to "take this slap on the wrist, and we'll even heal you afterwards". That's just moronic. If the payback is going to be tame, then make the set-up tame as well. That's just common sense.
