This is a fluff romance manga. As such, there’s not much drama nor is there a massive progressive plot point — the romance is slow burning. That being said, there is a huge focus on the incorporation of side character romances onto the actual plot, which makes the story much more enjoyable and unique than the average tropey romance story.

The plot is very simple — mc falls in love with fml, and he slowly gets her to like him back — of course, this may come across as boring eventually, but there wasn’t many moments of boredom due to how much the side characters ... played a role into the story. Not only focusing on the mc and fml, the story progresses side character relationships in a comedic way, but there’s visible progression in each panel from obvious actions or mere blushes.

Of course, the plot comes with a lot of flaws: inconsistencies with the mc’s powers and the lack of tension/fulfillment from the slow-burning romance. However, this is mostly an afterthought in the story, since the characters have been progressed and explored well and somewhat realistically with their tropes and archetypes.

This story is a “feel good” romance; there’s not any drama nor is there any massive tension fulfillment, but there’s a lot of moments and spans in the story where you can’t help but crack a smile from the humor or small progressions in relationships.

I've always had a soft side for love at first sight, love stories. In this one the mc falls in love with healer girl at first sight. The romance progress might seem slow to some, but you'll notice that she does show hints as the story goes on. Since this is a novel is centered around the romance between the two of them, you can't honestly expect her to fall in love with him in just like several chapters. To be honest, I enjoyed reading the development between the two rather than stories whereby the girls fall in love with the MC within just a ... few chapters.
Besides, it's an enjoyable read, light and fluffy love. Give it a try if you're looking for an escape from all those novels where all the girls throw themselves at the MC for no particular reason.

If you want isekai, focused on slow developing monogamous romance, this is perfect for you. OP protagonist gets isekaied as a bad guy, doesn't care for it, and becomes romantically invested in a girl instead - to a healthy amount. Healthy as in eat your vegetables, not as in horny to hell.

Plot is really really slow, but that's the intended appeal of it. Everything changes slowly. The protagonist earns 5 cents of affection points for every chapter with the heroine in it. But you can still buy some good tasting candy, because this is the 80's or whenever and there is no inflation.

Characters shine in ... this manga, specifically the side characters. Main girl is extremely plain, and doesn't have any depth at all, but if anything its good for the story. A heroine with more personality would force more to happen and ruin the pacing. Even though the protagonist is as plain as can be too, he is nice enough. What will really keep you coming back each chapter is how each side character will develop or have some of their personality revealed, and progress in their own struggles. It is really addicting.

Art is good for characters, bad for places. No place is really memorable in any way, and they are barely even drawn. Characters look nice but it might just be the style. Their designs are really simple and not very exciting.

Action is nearly nonexistant; it's a character drama generally.

In summary, it's all about the pacing, about seeing characters develop in microincrements. They don't change that much overall, but maybe its fun and refreshing. If you like the idea of that, you would probably like this manga.
