Made by the same makers of kingdom hearts. uh, not to mention final fantasy lol? the whole "cease to exist" thing reminds me of too many anime, first that comes to mind is Shana's first few episode, and then the Fuko arc from Clannad. but let's see what Square's take on existance is. EDIT: after watching video, wow character design looks pretty bad. looks like some generic shonen manga more than Square Enix's designs. and LOL he's fighting frogs. not to crazy about the music either |

| lol Yeah I like the music alot on the game, theres quite alot of things you can do on the game. Im not going to list them all too long. I thought the character design was quite good same thing for the graphics in the game itself. Reason why I rate it alot is because the "comic strip theme", for games hardly gets done at all but i think it suits it alot. Theres a two way battle mode controlling each character, on either the top or bottem screen, gives a new experence to the DS gaming. The storyline is alright so far, i wont explain anything yet, Dont want to spoil it for anyone else who decides to buy/download it game. XD |

| I dunno, from experience the DS just doesn't work very well. FF3 was great, the DS remake was just a dull grind. Phantom Hourglass? No thanks.. And this just looks like it could of translated alot better as a console game. Though, don't take me too seriously, i'm a bit biased against Nintendo lately ._. |

| I'd be willing to give it try, but based on screenshots alone it seems to be what Jet Grind Radio would've been if it were an RPG, and had all the style sucked out. |

| It got an 88 out of 100 from metacritic so it ain't bad at all. From what I read from IGN and Gamespot, it oozes style and quality. I'll probably pick it up after GTA IV. |
| Opening was pretty hilarious with Mr Emo all "Outta my face" and "I don't get people". It was like an angrier version of that Kingdom Hearts intro. Despite the emo opening and the annoying main character, it's not a bad game at all. Worth picking up. |

I'd have to agree with you on the emo part. the game itself is pretty good. takes a while to get used to the combat system. I cant really focus on both screens at the same time. |

| I actually like Nomura's character designs. They aren't the best out there but I think it helps bring across the whole design they wanted. Also, the whole urban theme really gave me that Shin Megami Tensei and Jet Set Radio vibe (especially P3). ^_^ I'll be willing to buy it but it's 40$ like all the other Square-Enix DS games. T__T Perhaps birthday. Aside from GaaraOfTheFunk's comments, it seems like you guys aren't going to play it based on its art design. =/ btw I like the music. ^_^ really makes me think it was designed for those who like Persona 3... XD |

Well, according to all the reviews I've read, The World Ends with You is pretty good, actually.It apparently makes the most out of the stylus. And knowing SE, the game has to be somewhat decent. It might make a better console game, but handhelds are in in Japan, so you can expect to see a lot of games on handhelds that you might prefer on console... -- I actually like the character and world design style (it's kinda punkish), but I don't think I'm willing to fork over $40 for this game... There are tons of other games I'd rather play instead. |

| This game is seriously one of the best DS games I have played - excellent use of the stylus, and the comabt system, while crazy at first is pretty sweet. The only thing I don't like about it so far is that your appearance doesn't change T.T I would have beaten it already but I am saving the last bit for a plane ride this weekend. |

(I think I have gotten through like half of it). One thing I like about it is that new stuff happens all the time.. you get the ability to jump after a few hours actually ! It makes you want more because everything isn't served right at the start! You even have to do a quest to unlock multiplayer battles ! XD Im really enjoying this game, forcing myself to turn it off after like an hour of gaming :P I would say 9.5/10.. Best DS game I have played! |

My point was that if the only flaw with the game is such a trivial one, that in itself, is a good thing. | Yeah, I completely agree. The flaws in the game are few and far between, and the story AND combat are both great- usually, you get one but not the other. There's a pretty good balance, here. And a LOT of items/pins to collect, sidequests, etc. etc. This is one of my favorite DS games so far. A great game, to be sure. If anyone is contemplating buying this, I'd say get it. And if you're not contemplating, and you don't own it, you should be contemplating buying it. Then, I would refer you to my above statement. |

| This is one of my favourite DS games. I beat it pretty recently (couple days ago) and even though I've "finished" it, I still can't put it down. There's just so much to do and collect, plus I think it's one of the most innovative games to come out in a while. Like GForce said - if you're thinking about buying it, you should buy it. And if you don't own it, you should buy it. It's well worth the $40 (or however much you'll find it for), because it has HUGE replay value, plus it's actually pretty long for a DS game. I've clocked in about 20 hours on it now. |

| this is definatley my favorite DS game. the battles don't really get old like in a lot of games because you want to master your pins so you keep switching between them. |
