| A Game Center and an interaction between a local native and a foreigner who adores the game center, Renji Kusakabe, teaching the young girl of Lily Baker how to have fun at the arcade, it's quite the calm joy. The amount of references of games shows, from the likes of Daytona to Time Crisis, is great and all, but Lily waiting the koala from the crane game, which Kenji helped him once, she gave him back, though with an extra valentine's card. But this is defintely a misunderstanding that isn't supposed to be the way it is, and moe than just the age gap, it's just two people who really love going to the arcades and spendiing time together. Lily is such an abundance of joy lol, she'll get along with Renji well for a cross-culture atmosphere for a game center. |

| Just when I thought Saturdays would be insanely sweet with The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity's Kaoruko, this drops on Sundays. It is always a blast to hear Japanese VAs talking in other languages. |

| My Sundays are about to get even better. Renji is a great guy, just helping Lily out to get that plushie from a rigged machine. I really like these 2, they're so wholesome and so fun to watch, especially when Lily said "Bloody hell". If that doesn't say shes British, then I don't know what does. I love how colourful this anime is though, it fits the vibe of the Game Centre so well. Lily absolutely destroyed that zombie game, I didn't know she was that good shooting zombies and dragons. 5/5 |

| Oh wow, Sally Amaki voicing a lead and getting to use both her English and Japanese, with English being the primary here. She voiced Carol in both the Eng dub and original JP of Tomo-chan but only spoke the language for the version. Hope this eventually opens up more possibilities for future roles. As for the episode, it was a cute watch I guess but that's kind of it. The voice acting is more or less what got my attention. |

I'm sorry, but which state in the US does anyone speak like that 😭, that accent is better than anyone from Texas at the very least (no offense Texans). It sounded quite British to me.

| @Aletheia_xxx Yeah, they're clearly trying to make Lily have a British accent and Sally Amaki does a surprisingly good job of it though I'd say it's still quite a bit off. It's funny seeing her mom speaking "engrish" when she speaks it really well. |

| The animation is cheap as hell, but, the show is cute as all get out. And the animation style does seem to make Lily cuter. That was one ugly teddy bear. Engrish "Turn around! Turn around!" Renji is patient, understanding, kind, and tries very hard to connect. All rather good boy. She likes being chased. |

| @Polvo_Aranha Yep you are correct it's exactly that, I read the manga because I was curious on how much they would use the language differences in the anime. There's nothing wrong with the age gap in this show even though she's currently 13 because the show doesn't make that an issue by not making it romantic. In fact I'd romance is the "side gig" in this show and the main thing is "game center"(arcade), slice of life, and comedy. |

It's not the worst Americanised attempt at a British accent I've ever heard, no, but this is still the sorta accent you used to hear Americans doing when they were supposed to be "British" on TV in the 90s and 2000s. I've heard worse in Texan English dubs before, yeah, but I've also heard way better. |

Not only did we get a confession in the first episode, but it’s the guy turning her down to get to know her better before dating?? Maturity in my romcom?? Feel good Sundays with this, ruri rocks and Puniru are here and I’m so hype Lily is adorable and I can tell every interaction with she and Renji will be diabetes. The fact they’re going to be teaching each other about their languages and cultures is so sweet. I’m glad they didn’t drag the misunderstandings out and had Renji be direct with that Google translation letter lol. My one complaint is that engrish is fucking horrible dude. I thought it was gonna be a scene or two, but if they’re gonna have she and her mom talk like that throughout.. it’s gonna be a long season lmao Nice start tho |

I personally think it isn’t bad, is very cliche, but you’d definitely find people who sound kinda like her around the snobby posh areas. |

| @Yuki_Niji LOL, I doubt that as it would be a bit weird seeing Japanese characters speaking English and English characters speaking Japanese, though I've certainly seen things like that before. For example in a episode from Tsubasa RC, "canonically" Fai speaks French, Kurogane speaks Japanese (cause he's from "Japan") and Syaoran's isn't specified. In the English dub I believe Kurogane spoke Japanese, Fai spoke French, and Syaoran spoke English. In the Japanese dub Syaoran spoke Japanese and I can't remember what language Kurogane spoke but it wasn't Japanese, Fai was same ofc. There's other examples in anime with English characters where both characters just speak English and the Japanese characters simply act like the other characters are speaking English and they aren't, while they speak English. Other times it's just made "normal" for the characters to speak English in the dubs though that's maybe less common? I've also seen "changes" made to the dialogue for anime that have language specific context or jokes that wouldn't translate over if they aren't speaking Japanese. Either way I'd be happy as long as they keep Sally Amaki for the English dub too like they did for Tomo-chan. |

The one with bubbly exchanges and embarrassing relaizations along with cutesy angry koalas for some reason. The one with a high BPM opening and a Taiko no Tatsujin ending. Yeah, that one. |
