So now this story covers his life after 3 years timeskip. Arthur has matured both physically and mentally. Tessia still pretty much the same, even personality wise.

Storytelling style really hasn't changed much. It seems this anime is still testnig how Arthur takes on tasks and dealing with problems like it's his everyday job.

Arthur became a father at 8. I'm sure if he tells his parents that Sylvie is his daughter, he’ll have a lot of explaining to do. I did suspect that a dragon would hatch from that egg, and I'm guessing it's the other dragon we saw with Sylvie.

Finally, Arthur has mastered the beast will, which relieved him from all the intense pain he endured. That dark form Virion took looks scary.

Finally, Arthur is saying his goodbyes to Tessia. They spent many fluffy moments together, but now they have to part ways until they meet again in the future. We once again see Fayrith and his friends. I thought Arthur had encountered him because he would be leaving soon, but it looks like we'll be seeing more of him for now.

They could have added more frames in certain animated scenes. It made some parts feel weird to watch, and the pacing felt too fast.

Another good episode. The way they jump time seems odd but it’s fine to move the story along. Still a good show regardless of the haters 🤣

Coming from someone who likes SoL, slow anime, I think this show would be way better to watch continuously rather than week-to-week as it is released. It’s not boring, but each week I’m waiting for more to happen in the 24-min episode. We are 7 episodes into a 12 episode season and I’m still waiting for the hook of this show that has people fangirling so hard for the source material. It’s probably due to the hype surrounding this release that I keep expecting more, but I still feel like the pacing and directing of this show could have potentially been done better. It feels like this 12-episode season isn’t going to even get into any of the meat of the source material and with how badly it’s being received who knows if we’ll even get a continuation.

I think it’s time I just dive into the source material cause this seems hella up my alley and I’m ready to wooh! Girl all over this ish.

What a way to end the episode. Damn, I hope they do justice to the reunion next episode. I'm emotional already.

So far this has a pretty mid story, but hasn't fallen into any of the early pitfalls I see in isekais. Though they are usually really tested when the protagonist grows up, so let's see how it develops from now. At least the way the characters have been handled has been good, it lacks a bit of depth (they are keeping it simple for pacing reasons), but the characters are pretty charismatic and they genuinely feel like they care for each other, which is pretty nice to see. Few animes (let alone isekais) get this right.

The main reason to watch this show is now gone. Without Tessia would have dropped it but she made stick around. Such a nice cute girl. Decent Sylphy ripoff. Hopefully she won't take ages to return.

Whew really saved some budget by not voicing the dragon I guess. The little repeated squeaks they used over and over and over definitely weren't incredibly grating on the ears or anything.
Toss up whether TBATE or Gorilla Gal had the worst "reconcile with and befriend the bullies" plot line. I think TBATE wins (or loses?) because the "bullies" had like a minute of screen time tops. While the three stogesses in Gorilla pop up a lot more.
What a weak ass comparison to draw between Grey killing a man's family to grant them a merciful death he begged for, and Slyphie , Roxy , Eris , I mean Tessia punching a guy for implying she was weak. The two situations are completely different, but I guess it had been over 10 minutes since we referenced his Edgy Past so we had to squeeze it in somewhere or else the audience might forget.

@TickleDuck well sunce syvie is an important character it will be Impossible to not voice her.
But i found it strange too that we didnt hear her.

And there was a lot more of his train shown in the manwa wasnt it?

The pacing feels off, compared to the source material. But we will see how it goes from now on.
The animation seemed at least not terrible in this episode.

@ShoupyDoo this show isn't going to be 12 episodes it's listed online as scheduled for 24. That's why the pacing feels so slow, theyre stretching out the contents a bit thin. If it was a 12ep format the odds are it's pacing wouldn't feel so glaringly slow. It's a common issue when adapting a web novel into an anime, as WNs typically have less total panels/content than proper manga, and all around less content than a traditional book or light novel. I agree the pace feels grating they have been dragging out the littlest bits of content here and there or inserting scenery as filler.

I don't know, but Arthur is gradually losing his title as the "strongest king."
He’s supposed to be the “strongest,” but just because he moved to another world and there's magic, he suddenly looks really weak. When the grandpa pulled out his move, Arthur couldn't even react and just gave up like that? Even if his body is a kid, where did his "strongest" instincts go? then his childish behavior, it's starting to feel less like acting and more like his real personality over time.

Also, bruh, his current character design is uncomfortable to look at, his hair looks so weird.

I'm a bit disappointed because of some changes from the original manga. They're technically small details, but I really loved those details and I feel that they changed them for no good reason. Moments such as when Arthur was finally able to contact his parents are just not as good here in the anime. I'm going to keep watching but it's managed to disappoint me a few times now.

Sad parting, but a new beginning.

I will definitely miss Tessia's smile besides Art. 😭😭😭

While one of my reasons is to watch this series because of Tessia, I'm more hopeful of when the day comes when they reunite with each other.

P.S. Might as well read the manwha one of these days.

Edit: After some time reading the manhwa, it looks like it's faithful to the manhwa since episode 1. So, I really wondered what the fluff are some people spouting about a volume getting skipped for some reason...?!
Additionally, the anime gave more world building and more stories than the manwha... (they might be talking about the novel... which probably gives more than we are currently seeing)
ANYWAY.
So Anime is better than the manwha, as I surmised.
However, the animation is still a disservice to the source material, most probably.
But, I can't stop enjoying it. lol
Despite it having a 5★ score. lols

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Just finished ep 7 and now i'm feeling the director, Keitaro is another version of TurtleMe. So that's what TurtleMe saids when the director's vision pleased him. To the anime viewers, PLEASE READ THE SOURCE MATERIAL! The anime is just TBATE's revision because many scenes were remove and added in replacement but there are some is still intact to the manwha and novel. I think that they spare the most budget to create something in the latter episodes which is there's no justice to the beginning of the series...

um ok wtf was this episode
I couldn't wait after watching last week's episode and read ahead in the manga and compared to that this was atrocious
there is no voice for Sylvie like excuse me
and the pacing is so fast it looks like they're speed running the anime
so much was cut and a lot of anime original scenes were added
like why
I don't care about the animation but at least adapt the story properly and don't add any anime original scenes which are just bad
they could have just adapted the content they decided to cut instead of adding filler
and give Sylvie a fucking voice actor for god's sake
well still gonna watch it anyways but fucking hell man the studio butchered this adaptation

I'm aware that the bar is very, very low...but was I mistaken or were there some actual improvements in animation here?
I believe I saw some action movement that was completed in one, full motion instead of jumps between still frames. I imagine it's too little, too late, but for those of us who have decided to see the series through, I guess we're grateful?

Love the pace of this. Don't care if people don't get it. Way better than the god awful pacing of Solo Leveling season 1 that absolutely ruined the show for me.

And of course people are still crying about the animation.

I didn't like the pace at all, but the characters are still fine, albeit cliche. The dragon-neko was cute, hope there is a voice at some point. Why did the parents look shocked? There should have been some advance notice, but leaving it for post credits is not a great move.

I’m unsure of how it was done in the manwa since I’ve only listened to the audio books, but the pacing is terrible simply because they’ve almost completely cut a lot of character development and world building out. Like they cut out so much of how the beasts will works
There were chapters covering his time in the elven kingdom, covering his training, his relationship with Tessia and even the bully character. It’s rather hard to watch knowing what’s been removed, I can only imagine how jarring it would be for people that learning the story through the anime.

this was surprisingly a really good episode, the animation stepped up, it's still below average but it consistently moved the entire way. the soundtracks were super angelic, the directing & story was SUPER good. I did wish he spent just another episode in the elf kingdom, but it was really good. by far my favourite episode, and the pet he has now is super cute.

Baby Sylvie is so cute. I love how she's so sweet to Arthur, who kind of just lets her do whatever she wants, but she's totally hostile toward Tessia, who just wants to pet her so badly, haha.

That aside, Shadow Panther Virion was so scary, he looked like a full-on antagonist. I swear, I think he's traumatizing me, not just Arthur, haha.

Virion aside, I'm so glad we got to see Feyrith again after such a long time. I'm really excited to see what’s going to happen on this trip, and how Arthur's parents are going to react to him coming back home!
