| First thing that came to my mind is this manga: Shibou to Iu Na no Fuku wo Kite (In Clothes Called Fat) | Manga - MyAnimeList.net Quite accurate representation imo (I'm recovering from an ED). Also, I feel like a lot of anime girls have some sort of ED, they either eat a shitton more than we would consider normal or they don't eat at all. Japan has eating disorders implemented in the youth since young age, y'know, shitty beauty standard. So it isn't odd to see that in their media too. |

If you would like to watch an other japanese representation of bulimia / anorexia nervosa then I would recommend to you the movie Taste of Emptiness as well. Extreme cases of self-starving or self-induced vomiting put aside I still consider the japanese body standards lot healthier than the american, where obesity seems to have become considered normal. |
