| I find it both hilarious and kinda of sad how every single story with two leads of the same sex have at least one or two forum posts of this ilk, filled with BL/GL-haters and intractable shippers alike, both parties of whom are wasting their time with their speculations, because Japanese authors are nothing like Western authors and basically do not think about characters' sexualities unless they're directly relevant to the story, and therefore will never confirm or deny anything. That being said, even by anime standards this is 200% not gay. The blond guy is very, very straight; and the brunet, if anything, is most likely to be asexual, though I suppose he could, theoretically, fall for a girl at some point. (I hope not, because that's gonna be way too awkward to watch!) On a personal note, I'm glad this doesn't have so much as a smidgen of subtext, because as much as I enjoy BL (and GL), the blond guy is insufferable and I'd pity the brunet if they were actually a couple :D |
| Given that the title has "daddies" in it I guess they'll use the child as a vector for fujo-bait at the very least if not making them gay. It's an original anime so it's just a speculation based on past experiences where kids are used to promote ships (Greta in kyo kara maoh, Alas Ramus in hataraku maou-sama). I find such things incredibly cheap and bad writing. |
