Even though She seems like a bitch she is genuinely interested in chainsaw man (not in that way) because he is half human and half devil kind of a person
People will simp on her but she is genuinely a very good character according to me

She's not likeable but really interesting and well written as a character
that just makes her likeable... I mean not everyone have to be conventionally likeable.

As an anime only I can easily tell:

The very first moment Makima met Denji, it seemed like she knew him since birth and just had a lengthy heart to heart.
She immediately deduced that he wants a girl and to feel being loved and needed (not just to bust a nut) and even precisely deduced, that he wants to eat healthy breakfast.
She is either a perfect judge of character or can read minds.
Either way, it is perfectly clear, that she manipulated a vournable man, wrapped him around her finger and Denji is basically her slave now.

The alternative is that Makima just shown compassion to some random dude expecting nothing in return, which is very unlikely due to nature to this show.

BUT

Keep in mind, that bad person =/= bad character.

Makima being unlikeable is what makes her likeable. It's just one of those cases of a great character captivating the audience so much that they start liking her despite what she does.

Just like Ryuen is somewhat likable Villan in COTE,I think Makima is also a somewhat likable from her beauty.
