If you dont speak Japanese then go for the dub. Its produced by cdproject red which is an english company with english speaking people with a draw on different characters ethnicity in the show, the main guy is Latino but you dont get that reading subs. I am highly disappointed in the sub votes, are they just the elitist type who didnt even give the dub a chance when it was better. You can tell since no sub voter is leaving a comment.

EDIT: from litteraly a few post down

Oh it is now ?

Okay its a "polish" company, but dont act like their target audience is not english speaking. Theres no point in arguing over semantics when anyone would realize with the localization of the cast that it was intended for another language other then japanese. I can not speak for the other dubs but for this show the preferred language should be the english dub. If you're a sub pusher then thats on you enjoy the show.

Any one who’d watch the sub over dub is just not experiencing the show at its best

Dub is always great imo, for the people who think subs are great, they are actually pretty dumb i mean they keep reading subtitles whole the time how can they enjoy animation though. It's different thing if they can speak jap they are just show off's.

Dub is probably easier to understand what’s going on but I watched Sub and don’t regret it, the sub voices fit better in my opinion

People who watch subs wants more authentic viewing experienced especially when that anime set its place in Japan with Japanese characters.
Also not everyone has english as their first language so it would be pointless to watch dub if you still need a sub to understand it. Also people who used to watch subs can already guess what the characters saying while still apreciating the animation.

Even though I do think Edgerunners that is better in dub since it's fit the show overall vibes, but don't just assumed that people who watch sub are dumb just because they don't follow your way

Quick note: Even though it's in dub, they still keep the Japanese characters speak japanese (and forcing you to read the subs lol) and that's why I think Edgerunners dub are great

Imagine calling people dumb if they don't watch dub. I am actually surprised someone can be this close-minded but hey that is probably just me being dumb.

i usually like it when dub actually use accents not picked up in Japanese subs but on this occasion i would rather watch sub. honestly spunds way better from my pov and seems a lot more "anime-like"

If you watched this in Sub. Sorry you did it the wrong way lol. Not to say Sub are bad, its just more disconnected over the Dub. Much in the way as watching most anime's dubbed sees a disconnect. With Edgerunners its the complete opposite.

I notice next to no flaw in the dub so I am not sure how the sub was better. If anything can be said its that I couldn't even sit through the Japanese voice work because of how mismatched things felt.

What a god awful take. Its very obvious you don't know what you're talking about. And I'm a near 100% Sub guy who generally dislikes dubs in anime.

I understand you like Yuuki Aoi, I do too... she is fantastic, but Edgerunner isn't build for the Japanese voice work much like most anime's aren't built for English voicework.

Well you have obviously have no idea what your talking about, considering Yuuki Aoi voices LUCY not Rebecca. How exactly is this not built for Japanese, hell a good portion of the GAME is in Japanese, or Spanish or Creole. Sorry bud the English dub is dogshit, and you're just lying to yourself if you think otherwise

I only mention Yuuki Aoi not because you speak about Rebecca, but because I notice you are a fan of her. Also you are delusional as hell its hilarious. You are obviously bias as heck. Sorry "bud" but in this case you are wrong... you watched the show incorrectly. David's Mom is actually Spanish and calls him "Mijo" several times which is means Son in spanish... you wouldn't know that or any hundreds of other dialogue examples that caters to the dub vs the sub being that you are a sub elitist (which I am too, but not so tone deaf like you.)

Get it together "bud".

Whats your point? Dubs change the dialogue all the time, hell even the subtitles are full of errors/changes from the actual audio. It doesn't change the fact that the English dub sounds at best like it was done by people who failed their audition for a Saturday morning infomercial

I re-watched the show 5 times: 3 in eng dub and 2 in sub and eng dub is by far better. It immerses the viewers way more than the Japanese version as it has way more usage of in-game slang, various accents fitting each character well and usage of actual in-game voice actors such as the one for smasher. I also think the vas did a better job in the eng dub than the others. I understand the bias towards Japanese sub but honestly watch it in dub as I feel like you're missing out on one of if not the greatest eng dub for anime in general.
