To prove his worth to Sesshomaru, Jaken decides to steal the Tetsusaiga from Inuyasha. After many failed attempts, he and Rin manage to acquire the sword, but are forced to abandon Jaken's attempt entirely when Rin is kidnapped by Kagura.

For Kagura to kidnap Rin is unacceptable , I really hope Sesshomaru and Jaken release their wrath on her!! Poor girl ;_; Good episode though

Oh Jaken, you crazy loveable idiot. I don't know why but I love the vassals of both the dog demons: Miyoga and Jaken.

The end of the episode was a surprise, considering the rest of the episode made it seem like a joke episode.

A really funny and entertaining. We got to see some back story on Jaken, lol basically he's following Sesshomaru because he has a bro crush on him LOL. It was just a fun and happy spirited episode for the most part until that surprising ending with Kagura capturing Rin! Oh yeah Rin was such a sweetheart when she saved Jaken, very sweet and sincere moment. Good character development for her, but yeah a very good episode - it had humor, feel good moments and a surprising ending.

I guess Kagome will be the one to bring together Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru, by showing Inuyasha that his brother care about a human too.

Janken is so silly. Sesshoumaru didn't even save him, he was just on his path :P
Dat moment when you workship someone for 10 years because you find him so kakoi.

Next episode will be interesting. I would really like to know why Sesshoumaru keep protecting Rin. It obviously isn't love (that would be creepy), and never really have shown any feeling toward her. Yet, he tolerate her. She neither a friend or a servant. She's just like a lost soul he found and can't throw away.

This could actually be a good lesson for Inuyasha and the rest, never let your guard down

I wonder why Jaken's former soldiers didn't followed him and also serve Sesshomaru

nice jaken episode, but i believe that the highlight of the episode is jaken's past and kagome sees rin.

the group were so bored that they played rock paper scissors? xD

wonder about kagura's intentions to kidnap rin...

Funny filler episode. Every part of it is filler except the ending where Rin gets kidnapped by Kagura. Also, Kagome noticed Rin. Another part which seems to be important. So it's a filler episode which shouldn't be skipped. Shows using a filler guide isn't always practical.

Liked that it gave Jaken a backstory about meeting Sesshomaru. I guess Jaken is some sort of an eastern goblin demon?

The only part of this episode that sticks out is Inuyasha's group being unusually aggressive towards Sesshomaru's apparent arrival. Usually, they aren't immediately hostile.

He's an imp youkai/demon. I don't recall at which point this is mentioned in the anime series though or if it's just restricted to some material in official sources with supplementary fan sources.

With the distinctive skin color coupled with stature usually only reserved for a few folkloric species though, he definitely still has a goblin-esque aesthetic. How alike these appear usually depends on the series/literature/etc. and artists' preferred rendering.
