| Most of the time, I don't enjoy going down the childhood friend route, so that's out of the question. For me, it is either a new classmate or wincest, but which I choose depends on the character, their personality, trait, appearance, and so on. And straight relationship all the way. |

| The chilhood friend romantic story is very wholesome and sweet. That's my choice. Somehow IMO feels more meaningful because is based on a relationship nurtured throughout the years and time. I have a soft spot for childhood friend, but I think it only has a 50/50 chance of succeeding because one of them may not get romantically excited when they're relationship age for someone they've always known. |

| I like the IDEA of childhood friend the best out of these three, but usually I can't stand the childhood friend character. An example of where I liked it (straight romance) would be Akatsuki no Yona. Both Hak and Suwon are childhood friends of Yona, and even though Hak is clearly endgame, both are interesting options for her. Incest isn't a dynamic I particularly care for, but it doesn't bother me in itsself. An example of where I liked it (BL romance) would be...Genshin Impact shipping, lol. New student is extremely bland and uninspired to me, but a big part of that is probably my general dislike for school-themed anime. But regardless, I just prefer it when characters have an existing, established dynamic already and THEN they fall in love and the dynamic changes. Like meeting for the first time in first year of highschool but their love story only starts a year or two later :) |
| I've never liked the new classmate romance. Something about them always feels forced and shallow to me. You'll have someone appear out of no where. They have one interaction with the main character, usually negative and that all the sudden leads to them liking each other. Just the contrived nature of it always bothered me. Especially when they randomly bump into each other before school, it's a horrible meeting for whatever reason and then Surprise! here is this person at your school now and you don't like each other, but can't stop interacting. |

| torn between new classmate and wincest, but end up voting new classmate instead.. well at least in most new transfer student scenario i have never seen anything more annoying than oreimo, i liked yosuga no sora or the thing between kaname and yuki in vampire knight, basically incest is more exciting because its forbidden (gross irl tho), but i hate oreimo so much, i hate the heroine, she is so annoying, many other wincest are also annoying.. meanwhile in new tf student scenario, at least the character is a mystery and each episode theres more stuff being told or just things happening and its interesting, for example the romance in Another was nice imo oh yeah most i watch are just straight, because im straight |

But it could be interesting, ngl. New Classmate is pretty basic, but works the best. They have to get to know each other. There's no weird past behind them. Everything can happen. |
