The scene where Yor came covered in blood was wholesome and disturbing at the same time. I really want to know now why she did that job. I just couldn't watch through that part.. did anyone else had same feelings while watching that scene?

Honestly, It's comedy show. Just go along with it.

I mean she ain't really smart but she is really strong. The job was made for her.

I found it... intriguing to be honest. Because it made me think: "has she been an assassin all this time from a very young age?" It sure was a bit disturbing when you think about a child been an assassin but I just really hope we are shown more about her past later on.

The fact that her brother hasn't figured it out is also quite funny given that he is with the Secret Police.

I already read the manga, so no shocker for me lol. But also when reading it, I didn't really think too much of it as disturbing. Ofc I can see why some people think it is tho, it's supposed to be aimed for maybe a bit younger audience

As for why she did it, they mention in the episode that Yuri and Yor lost their parents at a young age so someone had to provide for them. If the blood really is that disturbing, you could just fast forward honestly, maybe get a little crafty by scrolling down a bit and read just the subtitles, y'know finesse the system all navy ops style.

Comedy and waifu culture aside, Yor isn't quite right in the head.

Despite judging the fact that scene is distribing I would say screenplay is telling that "Yor is a Assassin from a very young age and take care of her brother after finishing her job" it's little disturbing for rom-com viewers but if u watch action animes it's common to see this things... and I'm not surprised at all by seeing Yor as a Assassin covered in blood in a young age..

eh it was made for comedy purposes, doubt the show will dive deep into sensitive topics such as trauma, SA, mental illness, psychopathy etc. I almost think the show should be labeled G-All ages instead PG-13.

Don’t worry OP. I too am truly disturbed they’d cover a cartoon child with blood for comedic effect.

I will be writing a strongly worded letter to the Anime Police to let them know my displeasure 😀.

I thought it was so funny how each memory had her covered with blood. I took it as just some dark humor. I think any parent that would take issue with that would’ve already stopped letting their kids watch it after Yor was introduced. Performing an assassination and washing her weapons off. That was pretty funny too.

I heard it’s already under a major investigation. Twitter is sending their best people. Supposedly Japan might get shut down over it.

No it was not "wholesome". How the hell can you consider a child murdering people since young age and enjoying it "wholesome"?
If it was an attempt at humour, it did not worked out.
You guys really think that it was always what she wanted to go on life and nobody forced/coerced her into it?
It was always her dream, then she has serious mental issues and it's NOT funny and DEFINITELY NOT wholesome.
It was as wholesome as the whole Hansel and Gretel arc from Black Lagoon.

It was actually a miracle, that Yor somehow managed to grow up to be able to pose as an contributing member of society in her adulthood, instead of being permanently locked up in the asylum.

Spy family really makes disturbing things look innocent. I was like she's covered in blood and probably killed some people but I think it's wholesome

Not many people know about this but this is why Japan has been closed to foreigners. Not COVID. Economic sanctions over a cartoon giving people online an emotional boo boo

no. if any scene was disturbing it was the interrogation scene with yor's brother. this mf literally killed a dude for fun, revealing hes yor's brother to him to give him an excuse to kill him as to keep her out of danger. he literally didnt have to do any of that, and the dude could of just been sent to prison.

Actually she started her assassin job under the shopkeeper’s guidance ever since she was a child. Therefore, that scene was from the time she assassinated her targets. Due to her being inexperienced at the time she let her target’s blood onto her. She did say the blood isn’t her at all. Since she was the strongest ever since that time. Though she wasn’t smart enough to clean up all those blood off of her lol

Yuri mentioned they were poor but the house they lived in didn't give me those vibes at all. So, I think any money they use most likely came from Yor's assassin contracts.

The simps won't really think that deeply about it, but at the end of the day...young children don't simply become assassins. Yor wouldn't have trained herself and then found some assassination agency lol. She was obviously groomed into becoming who she is.

it's not that I am unable to watch it but when u put some thought and think about it how can u take a child killing people for fun. Even if it was intended to be funny, it's not.
