| I mean they are cursed to fall in love with each other. Jinguuji is obviously attracted to the appearance of Tachibana and Tachibana's female instincts are taking over him resulting in him finding Jinguuji "cool" and attractive too, we can see both Tachibana and Jinguuji getting their heart rates increased while interacting with each other so they defintely feel attracted to one another, probably because of the curse. So I think it is safe to assume that there is definitely some kind of romance happening in further episodes, not like a shoujo type romance but like a normal romcom romance. I can think of a situation like at the time of sleeping, I mean they don't have any home yet, they might have to sleep somewhere where they are really close to each other and that will definitely lead to some tension. This concept is really new to me so I'm looking forward to future episodes, I'm not really a fan of BL's but I won't mind a liitle bit of romance between Tachibana and Jinguuji as long as its handled in a comedic way instead of literally in a romantic way. |

| You can expect all the romance levels of Kaguya-sama season 1 basically. This is a comedy first. Also, it's pretty clear that the two of them had some deeply repressed feelings for each other long before they got isekai'd. |
| I don't get why this doesn't have the romance tag on MAL. It probably would if the female lead wasn't a man in a female body, and it calls itself a rom-com. Even if the romance was solely treated as a joke instead of being serious (which I don't think is giving this show or manga enough credit for being willing to use its premise for at least some genuine relationship and character development, as the two very clearly have feelings for each other beyond the comedy) it primarily being comedic wouldn't make it any less of a romance show. If Kaguya-sama was always about Kaguya and Shirogane sparring off with no development beyond that it would still probably be widely seen as being in the romance genre, even if it only used romance for jokes. It sometimes feels like MAL has an unfair higher standard for queer romances to live up to actually be categorized in the romance genre. It's as if shows about gay romance that are not explicitly marketed as BL or GL cannot count as romances, even if not all gay romances are based on BL or GL manga (including this one). |

| I think it would have been way funnier if the glasses guy were actually into it and trying to get with his friend and the Friend turned chick was always trying to be pushing back against him. Little boring with them both trying to be the straight man! It should have been more of this style! #349146........hehehe |
