DISCLAIMER
please note i haven't read the manga for the animes listed here so if you've also read the manga yourself, you may disagree with certain things, even more strongly than you otherwise would.

JOJO'S
the fandom mainly consists 14 year old girls who have fairly overrated the anime, the story is great and the character development is rather interesting but saying it's a full 10 makes it sound rather laughable to me.

also stop doing JoJo poses in public when you're going to an anime meet or whatever festival you may be going to, it's just too cringe, especially for a me as someone who is able to think how stupid you're making yourselves look to complete strangers as well at the same time.

MY HERO ACADEMIA (MHA)
has fairly more toxic fanbase than JoJo's, probably because it's fanbase is mainly people about same age.

i believe the fanbase is not much different from your average k-pop fan who does nothing but argue around twitter about how you're a bad person if you don't like k-pop,- i mean hey snowflakes are really everywhere now...

i think the anime has a nice story and all that but it was way too slow and didn't offer the viewer all that much to think about, 8/10 a bit boring in my opinion.

DEATH NOTE
i would say the story and execution was done perfectly in order to achieve the result the anime was meant to be but i still kind of found it rather funny watching the 2 biggest edge lords light and L fight their mind games against each other...

you may ask me why but let's say,- if Light was supposed to be a legitimate, literal genius,- why was he not being more careful with his doings than he actually was in the anime? i mean... my guy literally goes out to "kill" L in a very early part of the anime already, expecting a highly reputable investigator would actually show up in public like that as himself...

dude literally exposed his ability to kill from distance and also risked himself probably knowing the risk of them trying to pull the same thing off on specific areas... even if it had ACTUALLY been the real L, it wasn't a valuable trade to take a risk of exposing such a major part of his ability like that, just tell me a genius would not think about that?

i still liked Light as a character, a lot, L too but at this point i might as well say that even though the INTJ personality stereotype was forced to Light rather perfectly, that still wasn't what i wished it to be, there was barely anything actually original about Light as a character, like there was about Near and L for an example.

and the creation of L character could've been way better, though i liked the "weirder" aspects of him.

REDO OF HEALER
i hear people complain about how this anime is so nsfw and contains r*pe and whatsoever but i would say the plot and the "story" are rather good and definitely good enough reasons to be able to enjoy watching it.

who cares about r*pe in it when the plot wouldn't make any sense at all if it wasn't executed in the way it was?

smh, snowflakes...

this anime was a 9/10 until the ending which was one of the worst possible ones i could've expected from an anime with such a promising story, unfortunately...
i'd say its more like 7 or 8 / 10 instead...

EROMANGA SENSEI
this anime was indeed really bad in a way, as almost every single one of you say but i think in a way that many of you aren't really acknowledging the good parts of it, like that it's actually in a way so bad that i can't help but say it was so bad that it was actually good at the same time.

i think that was also the very intention of the person who created this masterpiece, i dislike it but i also love it at the same time, it's trash but it's still perfect the way it is and definitely perfectly executed as what it tries to be.

it doesn't deserve a rating below 6/10.

ATTACK ON TITAN (AOT)
attack on titan felt too slow-phased to me story-wise and as a shonen it was definitely hard for me to continue watching it.

i did watch all of it's anime so far except for the latest season there is, i just can't go with the hype for it anymore, not when almost every anime overhyped by the internet still misses so much.

i did still like it and i liked what it was, i appreciate what it had to offer but i just simply couldn't think of a bolder claim than claiming that "AOT is a masterpiece" because in many ways, to me,- it definitely is not.

yes, a great anime, not a masterpiece.
the characters were godtier, though.

HAPPY SUGAR LIFE
pretty sure the ones who rated this weren't really putting much thought into their ratings, i have seen 7/12 episodes and so far i'd say this is rather an absolute masterpiece and a complete banger in terms of psychological matter.

if there were animes that offered you a perfect balance between messed up sh*t as well as what we would consider "normal", this is definitely a prime example of an anime where things can go from 0 to 100 faster than a lamborghini without the change of scene feeling weird / random to you.

i am in love with the character development and i absolutely love the fact that this anime actually let's me think about meanings of different things, about ways of life of the characters and about the certain perfectly realistic aspects that probably apply around the world to many real people too...

this anime does have it's own rather factual parts and i would never call the mc Satou a "generic yandere",- rather a perfect example of a character who has a bipolar disorder and probably multi-personality disorder too...
maybe you don't see the same way but i think the main character was designed to be a perfect psychological lesson to many of this anime's viewers.

FINISHING SPEECH
Backstreet Girls: Gokudolls has terrible animation but the humor is just there and is probably one of the most entertaining animes i've seen and something i would recommend to any adult to watch. (the humor is a bit boomer-ish but that's what makes it so funny)

thank you for wasting your freetime (or not-so-valuable-normal-time) with me by reading this thread, feel free to let me know about your personal opinions too.

i would appreciate for each of you to avoid letting emotions take control of you and think by the rational / logical aspect before you click the "submit" for your response, i'm certain some of you may not appreciate my opinions equally but it doesn't mean we have a problem here.

Literally the only thing I can say is unpopular is "Redo of a Healer has a good story".

anime is fictional and connecting real life issues with fictional things isn't always a bad thing, it also let's you consider certain aspects and factors of it that you may otherwise not have considered.

i don't hate pedophiles for being who they are, yes, i do find it disgusting but they're mentally sick people who in a way are some unable to understand how bad something they may be doing might actually be.

there are respectable pedophiles too, not every pedophile goes around trying to get into physical contact with minors, those of them who are mentally strong enough to fight against their own mental problem by watching fictional cartoon characters and get their adult pleasure out of that instead, i think they should rather be acknowledged as humans.

no, not all of them are bad people, those mental problems probably didn't just magically happen, they probably experienced something in their childhood that they by themselves couldn't had knowledgeably prevented from happening.

and once again, yes, i think pedophilia is still disgusting and i would never affiliate myself with a person who has a wish to touch minors in an inappropriate way.

you're certainly correct, in a way,- but at the same time, are there many similar animes with a better execution, story or plot? well, not all that many.
i would say the plot is actually pretty good and the story is indeed decent, for an anime as sexual.

Including me and every JoJo fan I talked to, they're all 20 years or more, tbh I think we're just grown men appreciating beautiful men (thank you Araki) and stands. About the poses in public, never saw but I do agree it's cringe.

The only time I've ever seen people do JoJo poses is mainly at cons. I have one friend who I can get along with talking about JoJo and be mature about it.

i mean i do certainly appreciate the beauty of it and how the anime was created to seem equal to both genders from the potential viewerbase...

i have literally had to see groups of people doing jojo poses at railway stations and other public places and i'm terrified of such amounts of cringe, like... really it just is the worst thing u could ever wish to see in public...

id rather see someone jump on the rails and get ran over by a train myself, i would feel less annoyance as well as disturbance from that.

sorry if i sounded like a psycho or something, im not but its still how i actually see it...

Most of the shows mentioned I haven't seen but I agree that most anime indeed get somewhat worse over time. Probably the one I most disagree with is HSL cause it made me feel like the FBI could barge in any second and I fear I'm on the watch list for the next 50 years. RIP

I had a friend who was into Jojo before the big Jojo boom and at the time I was told most Jojo fans were in their 20s or older cause it's a "mature series for mature people" which is fine I guess. Each their own

The RoH thing def is a joke, I read some episode summaries and it's pmuch a hentai. Surprises me it got this far without being labelled as such
All I know about Erased is that it's one of those "read the source material, it's far superior" titles

Aside from RoH and perhaps HSL I don't think your opinions are that controversial. I've seen (and said) worse

my reviews would be far intensive and thats part of the reason why i havent really wrote any yet, itd be very time consuming to me. c:

I recommend reading a translation of the novel "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas. By comparison, Redo is like a botched attempt at telling a story.

There's no inherent right or wrong in this universe, but when we think with emotions rather than logic, we make things so.

Eromanga-sensei doesn't deserve rating below 6/10? Now that's an unpopular opinion. I don't get how Redo of Healer is considered to have 'a good story' though. No, I don't mind the anime being about rape and shit, but story wise, it's just not good. Even a hentai has a better plot than that.

Also, you left out the part where MHA fans gay ship everyone in the series.

the problem with bnha fandom isnt that they are gay shipping. the problem is that they are shipping everyone. for example, they ship
uraraka x bakugou.
its really annoying.
and i dont know if its just me but uraraka x deku is also a stupid ship. only thing uraraka cares is money she is so useless. deku is just a typical main character. bnha is not a good show.

then I'll say don't. It is not worth anything, even watching your toilet seat for 24 mins daily would be more productive than watching this

I agree that Death Note is edgy. However, the points you've raised make no sense.

1. Just to clarify if you didn't know, the part about Light being able to kill people just by knowing their name and face wasn't verified until he killed Lind L. Tailor. He didn't know that L was an anonymous detective. He didn't reveal his ability. L was just too smart.

2. Light is a better written character compared to L and Near. While Light has his own goals which are reforming the world, L and Near are just detectives who catch criminals for their own pleasure (not trying to imply that L and Near are not good characters). Even though twisted, Light has his own principles of justice. It's stupid to say that Light is an unoriginal or poorly written character.

I don't think this anime falls under that category.
This hentaanime is just BAD~ and that's it.
but if you still think this hentaanime deserve that petty praise then go ahead.

Perhaps I was a li t t l e annoyed that this hentaanime looks better than other shows that I was excited for and ended up being a letdown, but that’s besides the point y’know?

If people were to stop talking about this hentaanime, I bet that the fans of this show would leave pretty quickly.
