The only give away is the shape of the eyelashes, but that can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for that sort of stuff or don't perceive it as a clue. Her body obviously gives her gender away, but anime does, typically, in my experience, draw big-eyed boy characters pretty similarly to big-eyed girl characters(facial wise). This is why characters like Haruhi from Ouran can look like both genders if you simply change her clothes around. |

| I don't get it either. I like short-haired tomboys as much as the next guy, but Uzaki's character design is just extremely unappealing and unattractive to me. Putting aside her boobs, i think that her head and eyes are way too big, even by anime standards. The 12-year-old-boy haircut and her muted, boring hair color don't help either.
