| No, very unlikely. If Madhouse remade it, they would be blatantly insulting JC. Even if it wasn’t really good, redoing seasons from other studios are highly unlikely. |

| All I can think about is Tokyo Ghoul and how much of a disaster Re: was... Though, to be fair, OPM S2 was more faithful to the manga than TG S2. With all other popular titles OPM has to compete with, I think it'll take a while before a new anime will be made, that is, if you want a remake of sorts. |

| Better to just make a Series 3 based on more of the Manga than retreading that which has already been done. Be happy that you even got more Anime series at all. Some people would kill to have more of their favourite manga adapted, whatever the quality of the animation. |

JC STAFF is not our grandma who gifts us an ugly sweater at Christmas and we just accept the gift with a fake smile. OPM S2 was an abomination, one of the worst adaptations i''ve seen in over 30 years of watching anime. | Not "any". Let me draw the context first. Berserk is the most critically acclaimed manga of all time, it's been ongoing since 1986, people been reading it for decades (myself included) Here on MAL it's the highest ranked manga with a score of 9.3, it's even higher than the top rated anime (FMBA). It got it's own share of haters and bot accounts like any other famous manga/anime yet it still got that high score. There is a total of 6 Berserk anime adaptations done by 3 different staff. None of the adaptations capture the quality of Berserk and, the first 2 sets of adaptations (97's TV series and 2000ish Movie trilogy are fairly ranked but none of them break the top 100 rankings on MAL. Both cover the same arc of the story (call it S1), then came the 2016 and 2017 adaptations that continued the story where both previous anime stopped, and they were an insult to the fans of the series and anime in general. How can the "best" manga of all time with a 9.3 score have an anime adaptation with a 6.6 score and ranked around the 6000th place? Go check their forums, the Berserk fans unanimously want a complete reboot of the "S2". One Punch Man S2 is on a similar situation. OPM is also one of the most critically acclaimed manga with a special recognition to the art done by Murata, it got a huge fanbase that been following the manga (and even the original webcomic) for years, and (we) were so happy to see it finally get animated by a capable team and even appreciated the huge mainstream success it had, it was one of the first worthwhile anime on netflix, One Punch Man was huge but it ain't anymore. It ain't because it took 5 years to get a proper continuation and when we had it, it was disastrous, season 2 had many complications but you can clearly see it lacked passion. I could go on into more detail but i need to leave my house right now. If you are a big fan of OPM i would strongly suggest you to go read the manga (from the start or from the start of s2) and then you will clearly understand our disappointment. |
