I like to broaden my anime CV to see what is done right and what isn't. Also every once in a while I enjoy these isekai trash except for this one of course lol. The biggest factor was probably cause I read the manga and was a bit excited to see how it would look as an anime but my high exceptions(or simply having expectations at all)was probably my down fall. I'd lump this together with isekai smartphone and the like but like I said unlike the smartphone one I actually came into this one expecting something decent or maybe slightly more since one would believe an animated medium should have a slight edge over still pictures.

Most of the best isekai are from end of 90s and beginning of 2000s.
It's more the generic isekais that we have every seasons which is insulting for Isekais. :'(

I said old Isekais where better by far.. because they developed their universe, and characters wasn't all harem cliché.
And KnM don't even have the standing of good post-SAO isekais.

It's only for isekais, I don't really like 80s animes and I don't have a preference for 90s/2000s/2010s so if you can just think a little bit more pls.

Even in isekais I like some of them from 2015 an later but they don't have a pretty good story telling, world building or chara-dev in general.


For the second season we hav 10% chance.
Most of random LN (as Rokudenashi, Hataraku Maou Sama for example) just have one season for promote the LN and don't even know a sequel later.
Even Ok-tier LN (Youjitsu, Alderamin, Denyuden) don't have it.
We sometimes have exception tho (Asterisk War) so it's not impossible but chances are low.

A harems purpose is so the MC has a crew of people(girls in the case of harem)to tell him how great he is, cause guess what? He's surrounded by a bunch a girls who love him so he must be cool lol, while offering comedic relief on occasion.

This anime just chose an alternate route to the harem one but still achieved the same destination. A bunch of noble born kids as his crew so we can know how cool he is and offer comedic relief, kinda like what a harem typically does. Fortunately for you and other fans my and other dissenting opinions mean little since our Japanese otaku overlords seem to like this anime, especially since I heard the LN sold like 3 million copies. Which even for an LN I find shocking since when I looked it up it also looks like it was written by a 12 year old or younger.

I didn't see it that way, I just see them as a good group of friends that have each others backs and have fun together. Sure the characters are kinda 1 note, but it's a good note and they are enjoyable characters nonetheless

But we also have seen the squad take a horse and carriage to siziliens parents hot spring town which is still part of earlshide kingdom. Some of the other students have parents with a town too.
