I'm curious if something, ever beat Kimi no Na wa in sales in japan. That moment when "low" show on MAL beats "high" show on MAL in sales. Yep nippon don't care.

Kobayashi-san - at least something.
Kizumonogatari III - looks like nipponjins prefer loli instead of milf shinobu, what a shame.

*3. *5,170 **5,170 Shingeki no Kyojin Season 2 Vol.2

Titans returned good sales, as I see. But what caused this difference?

maybe it has something to do with returning after 4 years with just 12 eps that ended with yet another cliffhanger and shitty CG colossal titan and no drastic improvement in production quality from S1 despite the 4 years gap and the money they got from it, or maybe people just lost interest after reading the manga.or it could be something else, who knows...

IIRC, SnK S1 BD for each vol. consists of 2-3 episode, while S2 has 6 eps.per vol. and more expensive

This doesn't make any difference. Fate/Stay Zero and Fate/Stay Night are also sold in that format and they sell a lot.

Even One Piece as the Log Collections, that have around 17 episodes per box, and those are selling around 8k right now.

Also Box sets aren't more expensive, they are in fact cheaper than buying the volumes individually(so instead of 2 volumes with 6 episodes each, 6 volumes of 2 episodes each).

it wasn't shit enough apparently, otherwise it would have sold +50k like Yuuri on Ice or Grand Blue Fantasy.
Japan really love its trashy anime...XD
