| My parents know that I watch anime, I wouldn't have problems with classmates or coworkers knowing either. I usually just watch anime in my room though just because I after working or going to school I just want to be alone some to relax. Also while I don't watch Hentai I'd rather just watch anime by myself anyway though. Also I like watching it in my room just because it's quieter in there, and people aren't walking back and fourth and there's a lot less distractions in there. Also I'd prefer to watch it in my room just due to random fanservice shower scenes and stuff like that. |

| Kinda both? I mean people who know me well know I watch anime and If someone asks if I do watch it, I am not secretive about it and just tell them "Yeah I do.". But I don't tell everyone I know that I watch anime so majority people have no idea simply because they don't ask and there is no need for me to tell them. |

| A few members of my family know I watch anime, and I got my grandfather to watch a few series with me in the past. Now in terms of watching... I rarely ever watch anime in public because I feel like people might insult me and call me 'childish', 'weeb', 'loser', etc. Any anime I watch is viewed at home. |

| I'm pretty open with what anime watch, least with my friends lol or most ppl even I guess. My friends tho, they know what i like to watch. So its never awkward, not to me and not to them. In fact we suggest animes to watch for each other |

| Only insecure people or chickenshits watch it in secret. It's part of who i am, i do what i want, if people don't like it, that's their problem. So long as i'm not being obnoxious like being loud or weeby, then i'm not doing anything wrong. That said i watched ecchi anime and even played the Sono Hanabira games on my laptop while walking down the hallways in highschool... nobody cared. As long as you are natural and comfortable with yourself, it will not be a significant thing of mention by anyone else. It's all about how you carry yourself. If you are worried people will look down on you, then you are inviting them in to do so. If someone blabs some ignorant bullshit about anime, i rip them a new anus with facts and corrections of tragic misconceptions. |

| It´s not like you should go here and there greeting people with a "Hello, I watch anime", but for me it´s ok to be honest with your friends and relatives about what do you like. But lets be honest, how many people would be comfortable watching an ecchi scene next to their parents, siblings, and not otaku friends? Also , if the people around you see you "wasting" too much time watching anime, it´s obvious that they would be less comfortable with what you are doing, and that might get you to avoid sharing about your anime passion with them. |
