| If you use advanced search and pick which genres you want, hentai won't appear. And if you have it on your list already it's kinda impossible to hide anyway, they won't make a new list just for hentai, but if you want to search for the hentai from your list you can always use the rating. |

| MAL is a database. You don't exclude things from a database because of subjective preferences. Hentai is per definition anime (or manga). Thus, it should be part of it. Same reason Adolf Hitler is technically in the database due to being the original author of Mein Kampf, which does have a manga adaptation. No amount of people finding this offensive is going to change the fact that logically he should be in here, and thus he is. Deal with it. Furthermore, it's only database listings. It's not like you're actually opening up anything NSFW just by seeing a hentai title pop up in a list of search results. Hell even the covers are censored if necessary here on MAL If you're really picky though, you can always just use Advanced Search and use the exclude genres feature and select hentai; that way they'll be filtered out. Also the Seasonal anime tab has a checkmark box for R18+ shows so you can toggle whether you want them listed or not |

| It's not happening. Also, all hentai anime and manga images on the site are censored so there's practically nothing R18 on the site. If they search for hentai that they saw here, well that's a whole different story. |

| more like mal should just add a feature that allows you to set what you don't want to see like most sites have, something like '' no explicit content'' button. i think that would be best for everybody, because i personally will always watch some hentai if it somehow sneaks into my suggestions/search bar, why not, i have no problems with it. |
