| When 2D falls flat on its face in its transition to 3D (basically always). If you can pull chuuni anime stuff off like this you deserve mad props IMO. I would only be able to sit back and admire someone who actually convinced me that it looks cool IRL (spoiler: it ****ing won't). |
It's all about camera angles/positioning and the runner's form. If someone is mocking the run then obviously it will look clumsy. But get someone with good movement form like an experienced free runner (parkour) and the difference will be night and day since a lot of the excess movements will be cut out. Next up is getting the right camera angles/positioning mixed with the right editing and it'll look good. If you ever see the behind the scenes shots for action scenes in movies they look laughable too at times until all the editing and post processing is done. |

Since you have supplied me with this information, I'll have to start practicing with a free runner. Maybe then I can perfect the art of the Naruto run. After that, I'll find a camera man, and become an internet icon by publishing my accomplishment onto the internet! Considering my laziness I probably won't do any of these things though. |
