At one point I had ~200 completed entries and around 30 of them were 10s. I decided that was far too many and culled 2/3s of them, to make my 10s stand out and actually be worth something. So it wasn't that there was anything specifically wrong with CG; it just didn't make the final cut when I decided to be extra critical. |

| It was the Escaflowne TV series. My friend and I were talking about how much we liked the show when we watched the canceled broadcast of it on TV and how much we wanted to finish watching it. When I graduated in 2001 I used some of my grad money to buy the completed show on DVD. We made an event out of it and sat down all day and marathoned it, complete with a pizza party, pop, and other snacks. |

| lol the first anime I watched, Ouran High School Host Club. My early days have quite a few 10s. Haruhi, Kanon 2006, Dennou Coil. In retrospect some of those might not deserve the scores, but it was how I felt at the time. |

| Might as well share my unpopular opinion that the Fairy Tail anime was worthy of my first 10. It was my second official anime and was what really got me into anime. Even after watching many other series, I can still say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. |
