I started having this issue with MAlu: Normally when I watched a new anime, I copy the file first to its destination folder (renamed folder on my anime disk) and ran it from there. This made MALu set the Anime folder for that show from the 1st episode that was run and move all future episodes there. Now however, it does not set the folder automatically anymore, I have to use the play button in Malu before it sets the actual folder now. So i still do the same process as before, but after my episode is finished i have to press the play button for it to update the anime folder. If I forget this and episode 2 comes out and press play next, my folder will be set to my downloads folder since that's where it found the 2nd episode. Then i have to go and manually change its provided path. Is this a problem on my end, or did something change since last update? |

I use MPC-BE (even started using it after the problems with VLC + win 10), so I am not sure if it is due to that. I did use VLC when i was running Win 8. I just noticed this issue with the new season starting. Since last time I added 1 episode only was the beginning of last season. Every other anime I downloaded came in batches since they were full seasons and those updated correctly due to putting all files immediately to the correct disk and it wont find them in my downloads folder anymore (I did not notice therefore if it updated after the first or second episode). |

Mal Updater often crashes when try to turn off my PC. It shows an error message, like this one: Also each time i select a folder on the left with the batch tool this happens: This seems to happen on any folder on any drive. Sometimes closing that window produces the error and it crashes. Seems like it thinks files appear and reappear. Or it seems like it can't decide if there is two of every file/video in that folder or one and toggles between displaying them. Only folder that this doesn't happen in is the root of each drive. Even if there is not many files in the folder the spinny mousepointer still appears and you can't navigate at all. It could be my PC that's wonky but it seems to run fine otherwise. Using Windows 10 x64. I also get error 303, error checking for new messages but that's probably not related. |

There are a few issues with MALU and W10; don't expect a fix until MalU3 is finished with w7/10 support. |

Kotori said: You mean W8 support. There are a few issues with MALU and W10; don't expect a fix until MalU3 is finished with w7/10 support. @ Nelakine: Concerning the error message: it seems like a memory issue. Happens on Windows 8+ if you don't shut it down "the right way": 1) Win+I 2) Hold down Shift key and click on "On/Off". Choose "Shutdown" and hold the Shift key until you see the shutdown animation. If that doesn't solve the problem during computer shutdown, just close MALU normally. As for your other problem: just close the task in the Task-Manager and open MALU again, but don't use or do anything problematic. For example, when I had the invalid credentials error and used the website to manually update while using play current/next option to open the respective episode without letting MALU update the retrieved list, it turned into a window spamming festival with the "access violation" as a result. |

w10, not even bothering with 8 crap, 10 is almost the same but there are some issues with it not present in 8. |

@Noboru Thanks but it was mostly that i missed that error message was still open when trying to shut down. And yes, seems to work fine except except i can't use the batch tool and the error appears sometimes. @Kotori Thanks, looking forward to it. The alpha is promising. PS: Tried clicking "Clear All" in the batch tool. That causes explorer to crash without fail and causes mal updater to lock up. ._. |

Kotori said: W8 is a lot better than W10, because you can still decide on updates. Also 8 has already built-in USB 3.0 and a more intelligent copy manager.w10, not even bothering with 8 crap, 10 is almost the same but there are some issues with it not present in 8. So does that mean you won't fix the folder bug in MALU3 if it's still affected on W8 and when MALU needs another update because MAL changed their API again, it basically means I need to go without MALU? @ Nelakine: Alright then. |

I am experiencing exactly the same issues that Nelakine described with the batch tool and the error. Aside from that minor inconvenience, Malu works fine for me. Looking forward to version 3 though. |

AerosAtar said: AerosAtar said: I am seeing an issue since upgrading to Windows 10 - the anime Folder paths are not behaving correctly anymore. When creating a folder for an anime that has 'special' characters in its title, the folder is also created using these characters, as expected. However, upon next launching MALU, the folder path is broken as (some of) the characters have been replaced within MALU's path record, although the actual folder name is unchanged. Some examples: * /Penguin Musume♥Heart changes to /Penguin Musume?Heart (which is not valid in windows anyway) * /C³ changes to /C3 * /Kämpfer changes to /Kampfer * /Aishiteruze Baby★★ remains unchanged I have only noticed these issues since upgrading to Windows 10, but it is _possible_ they were there before (just unnoticed). I have now confirmed that this issue is also present in Windows 7 (but strangely it is not affecting all of the same anime - Aishiteruze Baby★★ is affected, while Kämpfer is not, for example...) Is this something that *can* be fixed, or does it need some kind of workaround (like manually removing/replacing the 'offending' characters)? If the latter, it might be something to think about for v3's folder generation script. |

Hello, I have a bug (I guess) ... EDIT : Resolved, see at the end I actually have Fairy Tail (2014) in my current list. When I scan it does not detect the episodes under the name : Fairy Tail (2014) XX But when I double click (to play), it actually start the next episode as it should ... But surprise surprise, when it plays, it opens the tab of the first "season" of Fairy Tail : Fairy Tail, and it does not auto update the Fairy Tail (2014) but puts me in the "Completed []" tab with Fairy Tail selected (which is completed, so it doesn't update anything). The folder of Fairy Tail (2014) is as well SET on the folder containing all my Fairy Tail (2014) episodes. (and funny but the "episodes" bar is actually overflow to the right (under the watched section) 46/? episodes) EDIT : Well ... it was because of the "()", renaming : Fairy Tail (2014) 80 -> Fairy Tail 2014 - 80 resolved everything (even the bar doing strange things), just laying it there if people have the same problem. |

Tommy-sama said: Also been having this problem for the past week or so, I can still update shows that was already on my list but new shows you add from the site will not appear in MALupdater. Hopefully a fix for this comes soon. same here. i can update my episodes (most of the time) but since it doesn't log into MAL i don't get updates on airing shows. |

All Winter 2016 anime is listed as being Winter 2015 anime. Fall 2015 also seems to sort as if it were earlier than Spring and Summer 2015. |

Also experiencing this. xD Have been experiencing this for like 2 weeks or so now. I can still click "Play next episode" and it'll play, but on the top left it just shows "Logging in..." indefinitely. Also, it doesn't seem to add new series correctly or display any new episodes I have downloaded. O_o |

Hello, I'm on Windows 8.1 64bits I cannot seem to be able to connect to MAL anymore through MAL Updater V2.96 : Either says "Logging in (MAL)" then "Login failed." (and notification says : Check username/password, even if those are correct) OR "Logging in (MAL)" then dissapear with the Login/Refresh button (that sometimes dissapeared for no reason those last days). OR as well "Error 429" Result I cannot see my list :( . Have a nice day |
